In case you didn’t know by now, the MAGA folks will never apologize or admit they were wrong. They will never say sorry to the communities they’ve hurt or to the people they’ve blamed. Instead, they double down with new conspiracy theories: “OH, IT WAS THE COLLEGE THAT BRAINWASHED HIM DURING THAT ONE SEMESTER IN 2021!” My god, will you listen to yourselves for one minute? Just look at the murder of the Hortmans by a deranged, well-known MAGA figure. To this day, MAGA denies the man was MAGA and insists he was a secret liberal hired by Tim Walz. The MAGA movement is toxic, built on brain rot, and it attracts the brain-rotted. And unfortunately, it’s difficult to deal with serious problems when such a large portion of the population refuses to live in reality. The killer’s political ideology isn’t even the most important part here. Most of these people are all over the map, politically speaking. What we need to be talking about is the radicalization of young white men—and how internet subcultures are turning these lost kids into killers. Pair that with easy access to guns and a culture that glorifies them, and you get these disasters.
