I rebuilt my old local AI automation stack as a clean Docker Compose project. It's n8n with Ollama, Whisper, FFmpeg, and yt-dlp, all running on your own hardware. techhut.tv/local-ai-automati…

just in - inference leasing company doesn’t think you should own inference
sam: local inference is a terrible allocation of scarce resources “a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we're going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data centre but from a global allocation perspective, actually it's quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you're trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment somehow many people's intuition is the opposite of that”

Plus its completely open source and self-hostable 👏
Remote access feels like the “final boss” of running a home lab, but NetBird made it a few clicks bit.ly/4zrRwpK

I'm a Nextcloud guy, but I finally gave OpenCloud a proper setup. It stores everything on the filesystem with no separate database, which makes backups a whole lot simpler. My Docker Compose guide and early comparison: techhut.tv/self-host-openclo…

BookOrbit puts ebooks, PDFs, comics, and audiobooks into one self-hosted library. I still prefer paper, but it's real nice having my whole collection tracked in one place, almost like a self-hosted Goodreads. techhut.tv/bookorbit-self-ho…

Introducing @netbird on boxd Many users asked for this integration. You can now serve your whole organization over your company’s NetBird network, with the same hostnames and TLS, reachable only from inside it. docs.boxd.sh/guides/netbird?…

We're having our Halo LAN party but Victoria Slocum is ripping us apart. I alt tabbed into NetBird ACCESS CONTROL and pulled her out of the group. A few seconds later she's asking if her internet died. I checked the network map and her peer wasn't in the list anymore.

You get SSH access to a Linux server you've never seen before. No documentation. No idea what's running on it. What's the first thing you check? Not looking for the 'correct' answer. I'm interested in the order other people poke around.

NetBird is on the most installed list in Community Scripts. 4,093 installs in the last 30 days 🥳 Community Scripts is a community-run library of install scripts for Proxmox VE and Incus. Our neighbors include Docker, Immich, Pi-hole, Home Assistant OS and WireGuard 🧡 To try it, run this in your Proxmox VE or Incus host shell: 𝚋𝚊𝚜𝚑 -𝚌 "$(𝚌𝚞𝚛𝚕 -𝚏𝚜𝚂𝙻 𝚑𝚝𝚝𝚙𝚜://𝚛𝚊𝚠.𝚐𝚒𝚝𝚑𝚞𝚋𝚞𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚝.𝚌𝚘𝚖/𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚢-𝚜𝚌𝚛𝚒𝚙𝚝𝚜/𝙿𝚛𝚘𝚡𝚖𝚘𝚡𝚅𝙴/𝚖𝚊𝚒𝚗/𝚌𝚝/𝚗𝚎𝚝𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚍.𝚜𝚑)" It installs the NetBird client in a small Debian 13 container (1 CPU, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB disk), on x86-64 or ARM64. Join it to your network with a setup key or SSO, then check it with 𝚗𝚎𝚝𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚍 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚞𝚜. Read more here: community-scripts.org/script…

Put together my first video with @get_artcraft and this is nothing short of impressive. Adobe Premiere Pro compatibility written from the ground up in Rust. The suite giving full Adobe and Microsoft alternatives running on Linux. wild

Growth Maxxing @netbird
We built CREATORRIZZ, our internal growth dashboard running inside our office homelab. It tracks and analyzes all of our social media profiles and posts. We can see how we're performing and how we can further improve + a NVIDIA Jetson Nano running our AI models

Did you know you can fully self-host @supabase? 🚀 One command gets you Postgres, auth, S3-compatible storage, realtime, edge functions, and Studio running on your own infrastructure. Pair it with NetBird for secure remote access to all of it, no open ports. Watch the setup 👇

One week at @netbird and this open source community is unreal. People helping each other on r/netbird, feature ideas flooding GitHub Discussions, and the stars just keep climbing to the mooon. 5 min setup, connect any device securely. Come check it out: netbird.io/
