The election is over. The market called it hours ago.
Objectively, it's an undisputed Democrat "sweep" all the way across the board.
The Republicans have lost control of both the House and Senate.
Meanwhile, Texas' US Senate and Governor races are set to flip blue for the first time since 1988 and 1990, respectively.
The defining issue for voters? Affordability.
The ongoing energy crisis has further fueled the affordability crisis, renewed interest rate hikes, and accelerated the K-Shaped economy.
US oil prices have now traded above $100/barrel for 46 days in 2026.
Tonight marks a major shift in the American political landscape.

Love how the default response to discredit Luka’s play is to talk about his defense. Letting us know who is watching the Lakers this season and who isn’t

Some takeaways from the Lakers-Heat game:
- Luka Dončić is scoring at ease. He's clearly gone to another level this season. He's manipulating defenses and tough matchups with ease. His turnovers hardly ever come from him being picked clean off but rather errant passes. But his MVP campaign must overcome the Wembymania craze. We already saw an example of the Wemby obsession with the player of the week award. It's an irrelevant award but it's somewhat useful gauge on how the voting could play out. Anyways, Luka is now averaging 43.4 PPG, 8.4 RPG and 8.6 APG over the last five games. Unbelievable.
- Austin Reaves had a turnover, trying to get by Klay Thompson, who's not exactly the most mobile defender. He ended up with 5 turnovers, which is closer to my season target of 3.5 turnovers per game. I expect some turnovers with how high his usage is. But Reaves had a strong bounce back game. He made 10/15 shots from the field to rack up 27 points. He's the right running mate for Luka even with his TO struggles. Fans calling for him to be traded need to chill please.
- Walker Kessler's statlines are beginning to reflect the dominance we expect from him. He had 15-point, 15-rebound double-double against the twin towers of Giannis and Bam. You changed my life fr Kessler, I hope you know that.
- Quentin Grimes is the comeback player of the game. He took JJ Redick's warning to heart and was more decisive today. He created open looks with his ability to beat his defender off the first dribble. This is what we want from him. The Kamentsky brothers debated about if he's better suited for a starting role in their latest pod. I tend to see him better as a bench player because of the looks he can create for others.
- Ziaire Williams, we missed you. Thank you for tanking your value with the Nets so you can come home. Sean Marks is such a bone head lmao. Made 3 three-pointers on the night.
- Jake LaRavia had a solid game but shot only 1 three. Can we please get that number up to 5 attempts a game. This is Luke Kennard esque.
- How long before I have a Mamukelashvili tattoo? Idk, but it's getting more likely every game. Remember when people questioned why we paid "so much" for Mamu. Such a winning player. Always does the right little things.
- Give me freedom, give me fire, give me Cameron Carr or I retire.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra on Austin Reaves from his Team USA experience: “He’s a competitor, first and foremost. He has high skill level offensively, but he competes on both sides of the floor. He’s a winning player. When you coach someone, you can spot a winning player. He had that quality with USA. I was really impressed. I’m not surprised by the success he’s had, and he continues to get better.”
