Cropping a photo does not mean "made on @x"
I have an extremely tiny tech channel but I too repair Apple tech just throwing that out there
Here are my thoughts on the iPhone Duo after my first week of using it. I’ve really been enjoying the phone, and I think a lot of the negativity it’s getting are from people who never planned on buying it, and will jump on any opportunity to trash it.
MacOS on my iPhone Duo thanks to @Astropad Workbench! Touch inputs and gestures are just as if it were native.

If you have any kind of home lab setup with any kind of port forwarding. Turn it off. If you must use it. Use a VPN like @Tailscale. Just because you don’t see anything wrong doesn’t mean you haven’t been a target.

I like this new Apple.
Yes, the Duo may have problems here and there.
Yes, the new Macbook Pro touch screen looks impractical.
But at least, they are trying. They’re taking risks with bigger bets.
Apple under Tim Cook was too safe. Everyone complained that Apple lost their innovation root.
Well, now you have it.
The first iteration may run into problems for sure. But I’m optimistic about the v2 of these product lines.

On touch coming to the Mac, your timeline will be flooded with the same video of Steve saying “it makes a great demo”. While fair to call out (and however you feel about it personally), Apple has never been afraid to u-turn. Steve, as brilliant as he was, was responsible for some huge u-turns 👇
For iPadOS (and iPhone Duo), I use @Astropad Workbench for remoting into my Mac from anywhere and it works fantastically
VisionOS is a bit tougher, currently trying Remio which gets the job done but not nearly as polished, grated it’s a VisionOS compatible app not a native app
WE’RE BACK
The biggest thing that I’m excited about with touch screen MacBooks isn’t the touch screen MacBooks — it’s the proof that iPad Pro CAN run MacOS natively and there aren’t anymore excuses not to make it happen

Why are you people upset there’s a touch screen on a MacBook Pro
If you don’t like it don’t touch it. Why are people genuinely upset and against it. This is insane.
