Some men will spend millions on cars, gadgets and enjoyment, but when their wives ask for a push gift, they suddenly have a problem.
Nobody is asking you to spend beyond your means. But if you can afford to spoil your wife, why should celebrating her after childbirth be a problem?
My dad bought holladies, original gold, butterfly sewing machine for my mom as push gift.
And please, a freezer, microwave, television is for the house is not a push gift. That's a household purchase.

X be teaching me new things everyday. Yesterday, I learnt that an obgyn, practicing o, shouldn't speak about women's pregnancy because as a man, he doesn't understand women's anatomy.
There's an Igbo adage which said that when a woman is impregnated while standing, (you know una standing style), she's bound to give birth to a mad person.
A lot of takes I see from humans here make me wish there's a way you can just look at a person and see the style that resulted in their conception so that one can avoid it when they are seriously trying for conception. 🤦

Back on this topic because i need some of you to see how stupid you are with your takes.
"Men shouldn't have opinions about pregnancy and women's health because they don't have a uterus." Yet, you'll turn around and drag male scientists for not finding cures for conditions like PCOS, saying, "If it affected men, they would have found a cure by now."
Well, if personal experience is the standard for understanding a condition, then by that logic, women should be the ones researching and finding the cures because men cannot possibly know more than them about their bodies.
You cannot keep shifting the goalpost depending on which argument you're trying to win.

Woman accused of brut@lly abusing 10 years old house help in Anambra arrested
The Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs has announced the arrest of a woman identified as Adaobi, following disturbing allegations that she physically assaulted her 10-year-old house help in Ogidi, Idemili North LGA.
The young girl, identified as Chizoba Ifeanyi, was reportedly rescued by concerned residents after allegedly being beaten with a stick.
Following public outrage and calls for intervention, the Ministry of Women Affairs has confirmed that the accused woman is now in custody.

Why should it be called death sentence to establish pregnancy is not easy?
Arguing against it being a death sentence is not watering down what pregnancy and childbirth cost women but putting extreme to check.
You want women to see giving birth as dying? Why project such fear?
The whole pregnancy thing on the timeline, I didn’t want to give it my attention, but I’ll say this. Pregnancy is not easy. The fact that women get pregnant, give birth and are happy they did doesn’t make it a walk in the park.
If you’ve ever been pregnant, it’s insensitive to water down another woman’s experience. No two pregnancies are the same, and even a healthy pregnancy throughout the nine months can have a glitch towards the end.
Yes, children are beautiful and miraculous, and that’s why women are happy to have them. But that doesn’t mean the journey is easy. Women are not looking for praise for giving birth; they just want to share their experiences without being shut down.
Being a doctor with practical biological knowledge doesn’t mean you’ve experienced pregnancy firsthand.
Imagine a woman claiming she has more right to speak on pregnancy and birth than a male practicing doctor in that area just because she has a virginal?
