Who’s in the ultimate lineup for State of Social ‘27?
I’ve started researching. Do we invite back the top rated across the years? Do we search for unknowns?
Who should I be talking to? Tell me 👇
As long as I have power & the internet I am ok.
I have just lost power and while i have the internet, the odds are not in my favour.

Brewers World Series victory has evidently closed the portal to Hell opened by the Cubs 2016 title. Our long national nightmare is over

Elon Musk moving to Texas to get away from Dems, becoming the biggest partisan megadonor in history, then spending around a half-billion dollars to have his own state go blue immediately in the next election — with data centers the top gov issue — is pretty impressive

I always think America is far more reasonable than we are led to believe.
It’s the algos and it’s the media.
And people want to be heard
For the first time in a very long time, I have joy for the US again.
Democrats better not mess this up.
Pouring one out for The Cheesecake Factory tonight. Bless their social team during these crazy times 🤪

Update: @united responded via DM but said they cannot do anything. Their only instruction was to reply to the team that already rejected my request twice.
Based on the comments, seems like I should try a card chargeback or try emailing the CEO.
Insane this is what is takes.

Public square, need your help. I never use this platform to call out companies, but my sense of justice (and $700) is on the line...
A month ago, I was in Japan. I reached out to United to see if I could cancel my return flight and get credits for future travel. They said yes, and I made SURE to confirm (and screenshot!) those credits wouldn't be restricted bc I had a feeling @united might try to pull something like this.
Just days later, I try using the credit. Turns out they're gated to Asia? Exactly what they said would not be the case.
Since then, I've tried:
- multiple customer support conversations
- a refund form (that the support agents suggested; I wasn't even looking for a refund)
- hours on the phone with one rep who said they *could* unrestrict it but refused to
- I even submitted a @USDOT complaint
@United has rejected every request, on the grounds of the original fare rules -- which again, their own agent contradicted.
Just for the hell of it, I even looked at what using the credits in the restricted geography would look like (even the exact same route months in advance), and every option is quoting $8000 more.
So... AITA? Anyone have success resolving something like this? How is this legal?!
