Well executed run blocking by the Giants. Tommy Togiai did get a good lick on Skattebo at the end.

The Texans offense (Stroud & Caley) needs to make a concerted effort to simply pick up the first down on 2nd & short, through play-calling and/or decision-making (coaching/emphasizing it too), especially once they've crossed midfield. With how far from guaranteed short-yardage conversions have been for this offense, they can't always afford to hunt the big play. I believe Stroud wanted the chunk play to Nico on the in-breaker but didn't have time. Ideally, he recognizes the look pre-snap and hits Schultz in the flat for an easy first down. Also, we've seen this way too many times this year: A running lane opens up for Stroud, only for an OL to allow a defender to disengage from his block at the last second, right as Stroud commits to the lane.
