🍂October Guided Heritage Walk
🚶♀️Join us on 2nd October to explore Bedfords Park and Havering Country Park.
This circular walk will be about 3.5 miles. Come along and discover:
The church of St John the Evangelist in Havering Atte Bower, the Round House, The Hall (now St Francis Hospice) and admire views to the Thames. We shall have an opportunity to view inside the church, and admire its history. After this stop at the church, we will continue on and enter Havering Country Park via Wellingtonia Avenue and behold the magnificent redwood trees. As we walk back towards Bedfords Park, we will pass the grade 1 listed Bower House. The walk will finish at the Essex Wildlife Trust cafe and car park.

Some great news.
Of you see dumped e-bikes and scooters in London waterways and they are from any of these brands. There is a process to report them. Please share widely.

🚨 Shocking, but not surprising.
The latest @envagency figures confirm what communities across the country already know: our rivers are still being failed.
Despite years of promises, our waterways remain polluted by sewage and agricultural runoff. This isn't inevitable - it's the result of political choices, weak regulation and a system that has allowed some of our biggest polluters to put profit before nature.
The upcoming Clean Water Bill is the Government's chance to change course:
💧 End pollution for profit.
🌿 Crack down on agricultural pollution.
⚖️ Hold polluters to account.
🐟 Put public health and nature before private interests.

Freshwater. A truly unbelievable environment, I have been fortunate enough to spend the best part of my life in filming. Even as I write this, so many are still unaware of this fascinating environment on their doorstep. This needs to change
