People forget just how INSANE Smallville was getting. It started with Clark Kent hiding his powers in Smallville and somehow turned into Bart Allen, Green Arrow, Cyborg, Aquaman, Supergirl, the Justice League, Doomsday and Darkseid showing up. They even showed JSA including Green Lantern Alan Scott. And the show went WAY deeper with Kryptonite than most live-action Superman adaptations ever did. Red made Clark lose his inhibitions, Blue suppressed his powers, Black split his sides, Silver messed with his perception, Gold could permanently strip his powers. Then there were Aquaman, Justice League, Supergirl and other spin-off ideas being developed around the show. Smallville was basically building a DC universe in TV before the Arrowverse even existed. What a ridiculous run.
