In 2020 you stopped breast cancer screening & smear tests.. I was entitled to my free screening in 2022 but no appointment was available due to the backlog.. 2024 diagnosed with breast cancer after chasing the appointment myself so just fuck off Simon!

This rhetoric is so pervasive and lacks class consciousness.
So much woe is me for the “middle class” who “want to work” as if those who are availing of governmental assistance are not working.
The Irish government have made Ireland the least attractive place for the younger generations. When I was out canvassing the amount of people telling me that their son or daughters had no choice but to emigrate because there was nothing to keep them here (jobs or places to live). The amount of adult children (in their 30’s) still living with their parents, some with children themselves. Finally there was a significant number of couples who are in the squeezed middle. They are people who are not earning enough to qualify for a mortgage and earning too much to qualify for any of the “free stuff” these people are all very frustrated at being penalized for wanting to work and put food on the table and. Roof over their families heads!!

This is the moment Simon Harris ignores the pleas of a woman around family carers and the poverty we live in.
We never directly attack individuals but this flippancy has really upset us.
As people who follow us know we have campaigned long and hard for our family carers and those who support us the most to be recognised and cared for themselves.
As we saw with the previous leader in the care referendum those in our lives, our carers, and those who care for us out of love saving the state billions don’t seem to matter much to Gov as per the care Ref.
