Intrepid

the worst place you can ever be in is your own mind, especially when your thoughts refuse to let you rest. overthinking every little thing, replaying conversations, imagining endings that haven’t happened, and fighting battles nobody else can see. sometimes you look perfectly fine on the outside while your mind feels like the loudest, loneliest place in the world. all you want is a moment of peace from yourself.

i get disappointed in myself for letting things affect me so deeply, for overthinking things i wish i could ignore, and for giving people the power to change my mood. but i’m trying to remind myself that having feelings doesn’t make me weak, and being hurt doesn’t mean i’ve failed. i’m human, and sometimes things get to me even when i wish they wouldn’t. i’m learning to be kinder to myself instead of blaming myself for feeling too much.
