I'm really jealous of European multi-sport clubs and sports pyramids. The phenomenon of having a local institution you're a member of and can represent in competitions is something only schoolchildren and college students get to have in America. It's denied to post-college adults.

the thing that makes Nevada insane right now is that if they're really going for +8 on turnout alone without factoring persuasion in at all, and this is a national trend (which it seems to be in most key states), all of those D+11 GCBs are underestimating by a significant number.
The early voting blog is updated! The Joe Friday report: Ds have a nearly 34K lead statewide (6%), massive 50K lead (13%) in Clark County. Two days left in early voting, and some Repubs are dead men/women walking. Gov still alive but on life support. thenevadaindependent.com/artโ€ฆ

Fox: Why are you here this morning? Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

Indian culture seems to lack the same sensibilities around gluttony that American culture has developed. Indian tech influencers donโ€™t feel a need to show themselves having a healthy diet the way their American counterparts do. Only lower class American influencers show themselves gorging on food like Indian upper middle class influencers do.
This Lodu eating Chole Bature and Dosa at 9 in the morning has united both MAGA Groypers and Indian RW Twitter world... This N*gga has no shame in his free food game..

To make a broader point, itโ€™s astounding how many people canโ€™t understand that tech jobs are fundamentally globally mobile. If you donโ€™t import talented Indians to American tech hubs, the jobs will get exported to India, where local cost of living allows them to undercut American wages.

Firecrackers only became a thing among general population in 1947, before that it was exclusively a spectacle put on by the royal courts. Instead of fighting modern thinking, embrace it. Whatโ€™s wrong with avoiding firecrackers and instead moving to floating lanterns and Diyas? Clearly a young Indian is well informed and deeply cares

I often get asked why do Indians incorporate fully indian companies in the US? Capital availability, market size etc aside, the simple answer is that because itโ€™s easier for two guys sitting in Bangalore to incorporate a Delaware entity and get a US bank account (2-3 days) than it is for them to incorporate a Pvt Ltd Co on MCA portal and get a Corporate Bank account (2-3 weeks), even if the bank account branch is literally in the same building as them.

Refreshing to see another country upstage Indians in taking unhinged levels of offense to something
Kylian Mbappรฉโ€™s diplomatic row with China has intensified after the countryโ€™s state broadcaster rejected various apologies for the footballerโ€™s โ€œill-judgedโ€ remarks about Mao Tse-tung. In a dismissal of explanations offered by Real Madrid and La Liga, China Media Group (CMG) โ€“ the government-owned media group โ€“ doubled down on its vow to stop broadcasting matches involving Mbappรฉ. @Tom_Morgs and @SamJDean for more ๐Ÿ‘‡ telegraph.co.uk/football/202โ€ฆ

I've heard ARR used both for "Annual Recurring Revenue" and "Annualized Run Rate", but using it for "A. R. Rahman" is a new one.
Hosting a private Diwali evening with A.R. Rahman in SF. - Only 50 people in the room. Curated group of founders, investors and artists. - I'll be moderating a panel discussion with ARR and @krandiash (founder, @cartesia) on 'future of creativity in the AI age' - A surprise release by Rahman and @rajavignesh (cofounders of Secret Mountain) Diwali can't get bigger than this! Super excited.

Hereโ€™s a periodic reminder that if you played a role in subjecting my country to a decade of Donald Trump, I hate that you did that and I hate it more every time I see more of the idiocy you forced on my country by whitewashing and cheerleading the least fit modern president
President Trump said today that the US Government will be officially banning the term AI/Artificial Intelligence due to its inaccuracy.

Bloomberg's coverage of India is consistently bizarre. Every story is like "India is doing really well; here is why that's a terrible thing for India".
One in four iPhones is made in India, but imported parts and costly subsidies complicate the success story. @andymukherjee70 takes apart an iPhone to explain why copying China's manufacturing model may not pay off ๐ŸŽฅ

Women simply have to lose weight to meet beauty standards but instead of doing that they'll mock the fact that men have to hammer their faces to meet beauty standards
males felt 1% of the beauty standards and started hitting their faces like retards

๐Ÿ“ฃ This clown Rebel Kid used to mock India all the time before moving to New York. But after moving to NYC, she has apparently realised that India is much better than foreign countries. She said she paid โ‚น4,74,601 for a 22-hour flight back to India just to meet her friends for five days because she feels lonely in New York. And here, this clown even brought up army wives, saying that women whose husbands go to war don't miss them as much as she misses her best friend ๐Ÿคก

This is like saying "Hindutva reading of physics builds on colonial physics". Yeah no shit, the Islamic invasions of India have a "religious narrative"; this was understood by both Muslims and Hindus before and after colonialism.
Historian Romila Thapar, 96, on Sunday (October 25, 2026) argued that colonial historians fundamentally shaped the way Indian history came to be understood, reducing complex social and political processes to simplified religious narratives that continue to influence historical interpretations today and propagate the Hindutva reading of Indian history. โœ๏ธ@SobhanaNair thehindu.com/news/national/hโ€ฆ

Evangelicism is still very small in India but it is quick to become a serious problem when left unchecked. In 1970 they barely broke 5% of Brazil's population. Now it is 30% of the country and a heavily politicized voting bloc in favor of foreign interests.

Itโ€™s simply true that there are many places in Africa where public spaces are cleaner than the equivalent in India. Itโ€™s simply an axis on which India performs worse than its GDP per capita
