🔎The analysis examined the transition plan in Megaloplis and investigated how the region could move towards a #green future!
🤓According to our results ✅promoting #heatpumps instead of #naturalgas for #residential #heating and ✅prioritising #photovoltaic energy with #batteries could save #households €1700 per year!
⚡Megalopolis would remain an #energy center by supplying 95% of its green #electricity to the #grid, and would acquire a green #building stock, covering 90% of its #power needs with #solarenergy.

❇Civil society should be included in the process of designing the just transition plans.
❇It is crucial to improve #women and #youth participation in the #policymaking.
❇#Workers should be part of the #energytransition through increasing #social dialogue and including #tradeunions in the conversation to better manage the #transformations in the workforce.
💡We need a more comprehensive approach to make the #energytransition really just!
