Let me point out that those who have chosen to miss the point do it deliberately. It is a hill they have deliberately chosen to die. A stupid hill.
My own submission to the “pregnancy is a death sentence” discourse.
It wasn’t meant literally. It was said during an event, yet people are more interested in policing the language than understanding the point.
It’s incredibly insensitive to bring your high moral faux pas into conversations where women are sharing the dangers of pregnancy, their traumatic experiences, and what pregnancy has cost them, especially when women has actually died from complications.
We get it. You’re the better version of the “prototype woman.” You’re not like these other girls . You’re stronger, and apparently above our struggles.
But sometimes, READ THE ROOM.
Let women vent. Let them share their experiences, find comfort in knowing they’re not alone, bond over their struggles, and work together to find solutions to the issues that plague them.

I think health care professionals need to show a bit more restraint in wanting to be pedantic or 'correct'
A person sharing the difficulty of their pregnancy on the social media isn't the time to be quoting all kinds of statistics they didn't ask you for

You and that doctor are both fools. You are using the experience of a rich woman as a yardstick, your mother should have thrown you away.
Replying to @maxvayshia
Don't mind them, they won't take care of their health but blame pregnancy for the consequences of neglecting basic health tips for healthy pregnancy. Most of them eat like pigs in the name of cravings.
Don’t worry yourself, they know.
It’s not cool when we twist narratives in this manner
The initial conversation didn’t start claiming pregnancy is a death sentence; it only pointed out how pregnancy is a very delicate condition and can lead to death which doesn’t automatically mean it’s a death sentence
So those who have their fears about it have valid fears and it shouldn’t always be made invalid, the fears are very valid but it doesn’t make it a death sentence
The whole death sentence thing started as a means to downplay the harm that comes with pregnancy to some women by making it seem like once you have a fear about it; you makes it a death sentence lmao
That’s not cool enough
“Narratives” ?? because we said you shouldn’t argue the experience of a PREGNANT WOMAN with her as a MAN??? Ashiere leyin guys yi o !!!

I don't understand you people
Why are you debating a stranger's personal experience with them?
What are you hoping to get out of this?
Let's suppose you 'win' the argument, then what? You sleep better tonight?
Live and let live abeg
You can’t even read the goddamn graph?

I repeat again, if we didn’t have Gyokeres last season, we won’t win the league. I’m very damn sure
This song has three of the best melodists in contemporary Nigerian music. It was going to bang before it hit the mic.
