How many of you fluid restrict heart failure patients to 1.5L? Me too! But the evidence would suggest this has no benefit on decongestion and just makes patients more thirsty. Thanks @JJCuthbert for linking this pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2368…

I think I have more success getting patients to get past the pre-contemplative phase of smoking when I break down the financial impact of smoking in front of them. Not sure if that equates to successfully quitting though. $8 x 30 = $240/month = $2.9K/year
