If you understand each of these 2 charts individually, then consider the impact of both charts together, and you realize that Satoshi clearly understood National Security and Military Intelligence when creating #Bitcoin . 1. The history of global reserve currency matches up with the global military superpower at the time. Thus, currency supremacy and military supremacy are linked. A loss of supremacy in one would lead to a near immediate loss in supremacy of the other. 2. The currency supremacy of the US Dollar will not last forever and assuming a lifespan of 110 years, the prior maximum, puts its projected end around 2030. Once the gold standard was lost in 1971 the clock started ticking faster. 3. The US military would never like losing military supremacy, especially due to no fault of their own, but rather to a mismanagement of the currency that leads to a loss of US currency supremacy, and thus by linkage would lead to a loss of US military supremacy. 4. The introduction of Bitcoin as a peaceful, cooperative, electrical power projection would be the only viable counter-option to China becoming the next global supreme currency and military. The opportunity to avoid global communist rule is either now, or in 110 years from now. Thank you for your service and insights @JasonPLowery

turns out it classifies what audio it hears, before reporting back to samsung. sensor preferences, dog-barking and baby-crying event counters, and camera streaming duration are built into telemetry paths.
this is pretty evil and clever. so if your samsung TV model doesnt have a microphone, it will look for connected devices with one, such as a soundbar or a connected bluetooth device. this gets shipped off to bixby.

In Soviet America, TV watch you.
update: the facial recognition code is used by samsung tv's and returns bounded boxes around faces.

WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners. Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads. Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was. Got a root shell. then found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems. This isn’t a bug, It’s the product bro.

See this thesis by @mert on $NEAR. ZEC is the privacy equivalent to $BTC - a private SoV. But ZEC can’t do more than that. And it shouldn’t. It does very well what it’s supposed to do. $NEAR brings privacy to smart contracts, perps, payments/trades, agents, AI inference, stocks, and the whole flow of money. Sort of how $ETH was meant to be complementary to Bitcoin and the DeFi layer. But ETH turned out to be imperfect. Now it’s NEAR what is connecting all L1s and L2s, adapting to their language and architecture (PoW, EVMs, rust, move, etc) instead of forcing them to build on top. And now we have AI and agents. Not only did @NEARProtocol pioneer sharding at scale (where ETH failed), it also became the first-ever blockchain with dynamic resharding, which allows it to scale horizontally dynamically as per demand — a must for a mass-scale agentic economy. This is a big moat that no one has been able to even attempt. It also achieved 1M TPS and it’s already Quantum Resistant. So you have a massively scalable and high-performance L1, with native privacy, interconnecting any blockchain in the space, built for an agentic economy, powering both money flows and inference. ZEC is the privacy SoV. NEAR is the privacy programmable layer. The TAM (total addressable market) of NEAR is in discovery mode.
$ZEC is private money. $NEAR is how that money moves. NEAR is Market of Markets. Watch the clip. @mert walks through why the parallel holds for between BTC & ZEC and NEAR & ETH. ↓

I always get most excited about Aave App when user deposits come directly from bank accounts into Aave. We’ve crafted the experience so users can link their bank account to Aave, deposit fiat, and have it automatically converted 1:1 into stablecoins. Every bank transfer feels like one step closer to mainstream adoption. I’m happy of what we’ve built with the team so far, but we’re still in beta. We’re focused on polishing every part of the experience and expanding our onramp capabilities globally. I believe we have one chance to get this right, so we’re putting a lot of focus on the last mile. The small details matter when you’re building for mainstream users. Really excited to launch soon and onboard as many friends as I can. This is the first onchain experience we’ve built that passes our famous “fintech test.”

Most tech giants in the 2000s built their infrastructure and product as one entangled unit. Amazon had the foresight to separate out AWS as an API layer, of which Amazon retail was the first of many users. Today, AWS generates more profit than all of Amazon's other business lines combined. Hyperliquid is built with the same philosophy. Housing all of finance requires thoughtfully designed, open financial primitives. Each primitive should obey the Unix principle of "Do one thing and do it well." Talented builders then have the foundation to chain these together to create magical applications. HyperCore borrowing is an example to highlight this philosophy in action. Most other platforms implement portfolio margin by marking an account's collateral to market value with an LTV haircut, creating borrowed assets without an explicit lender. This system is simpler to implement, but misses a golden opportunity for composability. Hyperliquid instead begins with a borrow/lend protocol on HyperCore. Every borrowed asset is sourced from a supplier, so risk is isolated within the borrow/lend primitive instead of platform-wide. HyperCore's portfolio margin system is implemented as an orchestration layer that composes borrow/lend, with other primitives such as perps, spot, and outcome trading. This decomposition has several nice corollaries: 1. Today's announcement of manual borrowing is not a new feature, but simply an extension of the underlying primitive. Borrowers on day one have access to 400M and growing of supplied liquidity. 2. Portfolio margin users earn interest on their idle stablecoin collateral. This is not a new feature, but a natural byproduct of composing trading with lending. 3. System safety is easier to reason about when perp and borrow/lend margining are independent. In the same way that math theorems almost prove themselves when the right abstractions are defined, composable designs just feel right.
Manual borrows are live on Hyperliquid Portfolio margin and manual borrows use the same underlying HyperCore infrastructure, with $269M in assets borrowed today. Users can supply HYPE and BTC as collateral to borrow quote assets (USDC and USDT). Borrowed quote assets pay interest, and supplied quote assets earn interest, with rates set by utilization.
