Quite right. I worked with Tony on many projects in my London years when, e.g., he was a close and trusted comrade of the late Richard Edmonds. It's been a while now, as I'm no longer in London, but my editor @HandD_Magazine was glad to meet up with Tony more recently in Ulster.
This foreigner is responsible for policing in London and is celebrating the police being attacked by refugees 90 years ago. We shouldn't allow a single refugee in today, the same as we shouldn't have let the refugees that attacked the police 90 years ago in.
90 years ago today, Oswald Mosley and his Blackshirts attempted to march through and intimidate a predominantly Jewish area of the East End.
Men, women and children, alongside local residents, trade unionists and anti-fascist protesters, came together to defend the community in what became known as the Battle of Cable Street.
They taught us an important lesson: communities can resist fascism by joining together.
Hate and antisemitism had no place in London then, and it has no place here now.
