CHC already has a solid bullpen foundation ahead of the 2026-27 MLB offseason.
Butā¦claiming Eric Orze doesnāt hurt. His splitter is gross. And the FIP was 3.34 over 41.1 IP in ā26.
Should benefit from a good Cubs infield.

Eric Orze, claimed by CHC, has one of the filthiest splitters in baseball. He gets extreme drop and run, pairing it with a fastball, slider, and new slurve.
Key for him will be adding velocity; elite release traits and 4S ride, but sitting 93 MPH is limiting his ceiling.
Chicago suburbs native!

Really solid claim here for the Cubs.
Orze throws from a high slot and gets good carry on his fastball, but he really makes his money with a filthy splitter.
Solid stuff with some upside.

Rest days are not the days you threw. If 80 on Saturday the 4 days rest should be: rest day 1 Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Day 4 Wednesday. Next pitching day would be Thursday. An old rule of thumb we used for travel/tourney pitchers was rest 24 hours for every 24 pitches thrown.

I have one for my son, it is a little bit awkward at first but there is no injury risk from what I can tell, if anything it is the opposite, trying to get more velocity from the ground up and save the shoulder and elbow

Seth, it looks strange because it is a constraint drill, not a model delivery. Fixing the arms shows whether the pelvis leads while the trunk stays back instead of the arm taking over. Research supports that target; then we remove it and test transfer.

Iāve never incorporated this into any of my training but I just donāt see how this is healthy or how it is more productive than destructive. Anyone use this product that wants to weigh in?

Scout Notes:
Parker earned his invite with a high-quality blend of athleticism, pitchability, and a deep arsenal that make him a nightmare matchup. The fastball jumps out of the hand with life and carry, playing above the radar thanks to his extension and ability to create uncomfortable angles. His changeup is a standout weapon with late action, while his developing slider adds another dimension to an already impressive mix. With a smooth operation, feel for the zone, and the ability to consistently disrupt hitters, Parker showcased the profile of a high-end starter in the 2027 class.

Your back leg is leaking velocity ā and most pitchers never feel it.
On the mound, your back leg is the only leg on the ground for about three-quarters of your delivery. Its job is to PUMP energy up the kinetic chain and build momentum toward the plate.
Brent Pourciau, Ph.D., M.S. retweeted
šØ Your warm-up shouldnāt just get you loose⦠it should prepare you to throw harder.
Most pitchers waste their warm-up by isolating the arm.
Elite pitchers warm up the entire kinetic chain.
Your legs create force. Your trunk transfers it. Your arm finishes it.
If your warm-up doesnāt connect all three, youāre leaving velocity on the table before the first pitch.
The 3X Pitching Progression was built to:
ā
Activate the full kinetic chain
ā
Improve throwing efficiency
ā
Increase velocity potential
ā
Reduce unnecessary arm stress
Donāt just warm up your arm.
Warm up your engine.
