Late last night when nobody was looking, Todd Blanche’s DOJ filed a motion to dismiss AGAINST J6ers.
The J6ers in this case weren’t seeking any money. They were suing to request a meeting with Blanche to be heard regarding coercion in their plea deals, and that DOJ nullify any of these plea deals where appropriate.
The group suing is called “J6ers Were Destroyed By Weaponization”- named after a direct quote from President Trump.
To reiterate: NO MONEY being sought. Just the opportunity to be heard for the FIRST TIME by @AGToddBlanche @HarmeetKDhillon- and they are fighting to prevent that from happening.

NEWS: Republican congressional candidate Cheryl Riley is using a Montgomery County rape and kidnapping case to attack Rep. Jamie Raskin’s record on immigration enforcement.
Police say Abdoulaye Dia, 36, of Lanham, is accused of intentionally driving a 17-year-old girl past her destination in an Empower rideshare, stopping in a Silver Spring parking lot and raping her. He faces charges including first-degree rape and kidnapping and is being held without bond. Detectives say there may be additional victims.
The case took on a new political dimension Friday when DHS said Dia is in the country illegally. According to DHS, Border Patrol encountered the Guinea native in Arizona in December 2023 after he entered the U.S. illegally, and he was later released. DHS also says Dia had been arrested in New York in June on charges including sexual abuse and injuring a child under 17.
Riley pointed to Raskin’s vote against the Laken Riley Act, arguing that his immigration record reflects policies that are too weak on people in the country illegally who encounter the criminal justice system. The official House roll call confirms Raskin voted against final passage of the bill, which passed 263-156.
Her broader argument is political, but the underlying facts are clear: an illegal immigrant with a prior sexual-abuse arrest is now accused of raping and kidnapping a teenage girl in Montgomery County, and Raskin voted against legislation designed to expand detention requirements for certain noncitizens accused of crimes.
That gives Republicans a sharp public-safety line of attack in Maryland’s 8th District — while Raskin’s supporters can argue over whether the Laken Riley Act would have changed the outcome in this specific case.
