I was conceived a Republican, born a Republican and I will die a Republican but I will never ever vote for Ken Paxton to allow a lazy, corrupt cheater take the Senate seat of the Great State.
Texas Republicans, get behind Ken Paxton.
You’re not voting for a pastor. You’re voting for a fighter.
I don’t care about his affair. He’s not perfect. I care about his policies.
No one took the fight to Biden harder or did more to protect Texas. Without him, this state would have been lost.
Send him to the Senate. Make him the Trump of the Senate.

It's a very sad commentary on the degree of seriousness of citizenship on the part of far too many alleged adults.
I just finished Sarah Longwell's recently released book and in it she shared many comments from Trump voters in focus groups who explained why they chose Trump in 2024.
Biden 2020 Trump 2024 voters are apparently a real thing.
It was so depressing reading their comments I was left wondering if we really have any chance at all to sustain this 250-year-old experiment, one of the noblest undertakings in the history of humanity.
Many voters have very little understanding of the nation and the world and how everything works, and they decide their vote strictly on what they perceive their own short-term interests to be rather than the long-term interests of the country which ultimately benefits everyone.
Donald Trump as president is a ridiculous predicament.
The world can see that clearly and they rightfully wonder about us.
Most Americans, for whatever reasons, cannot.
But not only is Trump ridiculous, more importantly he is at a very lethal intersection of malice and incompetence.
And the evidence is overwhelming that he is aligned with our historical adversary the Russian Federation and makes decisions that serve their interests rather than those of the free world.
It's going to take us at least half a century, if not more, to recover from this self-induced catastrophe should the opportunity to do so avails itself.
God help us 🙏.

This may sound strange coming from me - as I am a proud patriotic American but... the UK really should protect William and Kate at all costs. They are the best kind of millennials - stoic, classy, dignified. They just do their jobs and don't complain. Truly amazing figureheads.
Prince William has made it clear, over the years, that he does not welcome new accounts of his mother’s life, particularly if they revisit old and painful ground.
If Prince Harry has worn his heart on his sleeve over the years, so Prince William has kept his cards closer to his chest ⤵️

Remember when?
"If I could leave but one legacy to this country, it would not be found in policy papers or even in treaties signed or even wars won; it would be return to the moral compass that must guide America through the next century... I'm talking about a respect for the goodness that made this country great, a country with strong families, a country of millions of Points of Light." - President George Herbert Walker Bush

Thank you!
With House passage of the Lindsey Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, House and Senate Republicans are placing maximum pressure on Vladimir Putin and the Russian war machine. This legislation strengthens economic sanctions against the Russian government, its financial institutions, and the foreign governments that aid Russian aggression against Ukraine by purchasing cheap Russian oil and gas and helping the Kremlin evade other sanctions. For too long, Putin has bankrolled this devastating war with money and resources from countries willing to look the other way, and today, that ends. This bill sends a powerful message of American unity and gives the Administration every tool in the toolbox to help bring this war to a just end, and we are proud to send it to the President’s desk.

On behalf of the Ukrainian people, I am grateful to join my bipartisan, bicameral colleagues in celebrating the passage of the ‘Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026.’ We look forward to President Trump signing this important legislation into law.

🚨 I'm proud to announce the House just passed the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 by a vote of 262 to 159 — fulfilling one of Sen. Graham's final wishes.
This bill will cripple the Russian war machine and finally bring Putin to the negotiating table. And it will ensure America’s adversaries — not only Russia, but also China and Iran — suffer for their coordinated campaign of aggression.
262 members the House voted not just for Ukraine, but for freedom and democracy. Today, we are one step closer to securing Lindsey’s vision of enduring peace in Ukraine and beyond.

UT’s Turning Point USA chapter releases a statement on Bo French’s recent tweets.

⚡️US House approves Graham's Russia sanctions bill.
The U.S. House of Representatives approved sweeping legislation that would impose tariffs of up to 100% on countries that buy Russian oil and gas, in a final vote on Sept. 16.

Aren’t you the guy who used Navy SEAL Chris Kyle’s death to make yourself a bunch of money? Didn’t his widow have to sue you to get you to stop?
Or was that a bunch of foreigners from UT who screwed over the widow of American Sniper?

Texas law prioritizes Texans, even the non-white ones, you racist dumbass.

I cheered the win for the team. It was a great game. But I weep for the families in Texas who can’t get into UT because they prioritize foreigners over Texans. Shame on you for ignoring that fact.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Texas state law requires at least 90% of UT Austin freshmen to be Texas residents. International students comprise only ~4% of recent freshmen and compete with out-of-state applicants for the ~10% non-resident spots.

This is racism, plain and simple.
I have served on the Energy Resources Committee, which has jurisdiction over the Railroad Commission, for most of my tenure in the Texas House, and I have never seen conduct so unbecoming of a Railroad Commissioner or candidate in that time.
The right thing to do is immediately delete this and issue an apology.
If not, I would remind any candidate that the Texas Legislature has granted the Railroad Commission broad discretion in carrying out its duties — because we have trusted the competence and fairness of those who serve. That trust can be revisited.
If Mr. French wants to regulate immigration policy, he should have run for Congress.

As a Longhorn, this person is unfit for office.
As a Republican, this person is unfit for office.
As a human being, this person is unfit for office.
And as an Irish lad, many had similar thoughts about us years ago.
We had a better choice back in May.

Republicans, vote for @bofrench's opponent or skip this race altogether, but please don't elect someone who goes against true American values. He repeatedly shows his bigoted and anti-Jew views and is not worthy of any elected office, but certainly not a Texas statewide position. 🇺🇸
