I had a discussion with a friend about this recently, about the rampant tone policing I see towards people willing to be loud and advocate for causes that matter.
When you tell someone to be softer, more "palatable" on how they push for change, you become part of the problem.
black anger has always come equipped with consequence. there is a version of blackness this system knows how to consume, celebrate, and monetize. but the moment our anger becomes inconvenient & refuses to be softened, sanitized, or made palatable for white comfort, the doors begin cementing themselves.

These same ideologies are worked into the system that is racism and it all flows into every work industry. A white person can violate a company policy and will get a slap on the wrist, but if a black person speaks up about someone breaking company policy, we get reprimanded.
