What happens when you put an FDE in contact with deep science and hardware problems? You create mutants. We are those mutants.
Hangars at Army bases in Hawaii and Kentucky. Luxury automotive production plants in Alabama. Semiconductor manufacturing sites in Taiwan. Test flight ranges in the desert. Starting your first week @arenaphysica, you're handed a flight ticket to your users.
As we forward deploy around the world, weโve had the privilege of working alongside our customers, obsessing over the applied science and engineering work required to solve the hard problems that stand between their ambition and the built world we all desire.
Building the FD team @arenaphysica with Reid Butler, Nathan Petrie, and @svikas20 has been one of the many privileges and joys of building this company. Weโre hiring more mutants. So get off your Zoom call, and come join us.
See you at the airport.
Forward deployment is at the heart of what we do at Arena Physica. Our hardware + software double majors have built satellites at @amazonleo, trained underwater vehicles, designed chips at @microsoft, built phased array radars, and founded companies serving the DoD. Their hot takes:

Gravity is a chaos monkey. I'm excited to launch Episode 3 of The New Feynman Lectures by @arenaphysica , featuring my friend @WillBruey, the CEO & Co-founder of @VardaSpace. He explains the second law of thermodynamics, and why it is what makes manufacturing in orbit the best way to make a drug. There are some fun cameos in here, so watch it to the end.

Welcome to Episode 3 on Gravity is a Chaos Monkey!
@WillBruey, CEO and Co-Founder of @vardaspace, explains why crystals grown in space come out more ordered than crystals grown on Earth. This episode features a special guest, a Winnebago shirt, and a lesson on Zenoโs paradox from Willโs dad.
Highlights:
0:28 - Why the crystal form of a drug decides its shelf life, hardness and how fast it dissolves.
2:12 - How crystals sink and stir up the fluid on Earth, and float evenly in microgravity.
3:31 - Entropy explained with a pair of dice.
7:51 - Zenoโs paradox and the difference between physicists and engineers.
11:03 - How gravity adds states that microgravity takes away.
12:51 - Varda as a gravity knob for manufacturing.
A massive thank you to Will for teaching us why turning gravity off makes better medicine. Episode is live across platforms (links in the comments).

@PratapRanade joined @mckinsey's Yvonne Ferrier and Mark Patel at New York Climate Week to discuss the "The New Energy Equation," and what it will take to meet rapidly growing demand for AI compute in a way that is both more cost- and energy-efficient.
The biggest levers for doing so are rooted in hardware, which then becomes a question of physics. The AI that helps us solve these challenges will be grounded in physics, and that is our central thesis for building electromagnetic superintelligence at Arena Physica.
Thank you for an amazing night and conversation!
Iโve been working on this over the weekend
On the Apple Vision Pro, I made a Ghost and I set it up to work with Codex.
It's context aware since I gave it the ability to take screenshots of my screen and voice is enabled, so we have conversations. Here Iโm asking it to make a solar system app and diagram (you canโt hear me though)

We're excited to announce our collaboration with @microsoft to bring Heaviside and AI-powered electromagnetic design to the RF, photonics, and semiconductor ecosystem on Microsoft Discovery.
Every electromagnetic design problem reduces to the same question: how will this design actually behave once built? Heaviside was built to solve the verification problem, predicting the full 3D electromagnetic field response in milliseconds and within a decibel of commercial accuracy.
We are thrilled to be collaborating with the incredible team at Microsoft Discovery. Learn more here: arenaphysica.com/articles/heโฆ.

Training for Heaviside-2 is already underway, and we're excited to support far-field predictions in our next model release.
Far fields describe how a device radiates into the world; where an antenna sends its energy, how strongly, and in which directions. Today, simulating far fields means running a full-wave solver for every design change.
Heaviside will change that. More news coming soon!

I was the cybersecurity Director at A16Z for years much respect for many ppl there especially @bhorowitz
But this is not a cybersecurity evaluation, this is SDLC finally being enforced in the dangerous ship fast culture used for years by the same AI that built the problems
Greg Brockman says OpenAI pointed Astra at its own systems until it ran out of vulnerabilities to find:
"We took 25% of our production engineers and said, 'Sorry, all your projects are on hold. You are now defending. You are now up-leveling our security architecture. You're going to use the models to find all the holes.' And we found a number of serious issues, and we fixed them."
"We found some new problems, but eventually it saturated. We basically have found, to our knowledge, all of the P0s, all of the critical problems that Astra is smart enough to find. And of course, there will be a new model, there will be a new round."
"You want to be in this tight loop of new cyber capability drops, you deploy it against your systems, you find the new holes, and ideally, you've managed to automate this, what we call defense factory. That's what we're building internally."
"There are ideas, for example, formally verifying all of software, that are possible with AI."
