If you all knew all the thankless, above-and-beyond behind-the-scenes work Mallory has been doing to help Abdul defeat Mike Rogers, you would all be writing her a hand written thank you letter and sending her an Edible Arrangement (and not one of the cheap ones either).

Jewish Insider: Mallory McMorrow makes the case for El-Sayed to Jewish voters

The Times: Vučić was talked out of staging a violent coup after losing the election
According to Serbian politicians and a former senior police officer, Aleksandar Vučić was prepared to hold on to power by force but unexpectedly backed down on Sunday.
Sources cited by The Times say the decisive factor was the Student List’s lead of 500,000 votes and phone calls urging him not to continue the fight.
Former head of Serbia’s anti-terrorism unit Spasoje Vulević said Vučić had deployed 4,000 police officers and 3,000 supporters to central Belgrade to prevent a change of power.
Student List candidate Radomir Saičić claims that the plan to overturn the election results by force was changed following calls from the police and other agencies.
Vučić conceded defeat 90 minutes after the polls closed. According to unconfirmed rumours, former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán may have influenced his decision.
Vulević also suggests that Vučić received calls from European governments, although MEP Sandro Gozi believes the election result itself came as a shock to him.

The stars have truly aligned for the Dems to win the Senate in every single way:
- Roy Cooper and Jon Ossoff lock up NC and GA
- Sherrod Brown decides to mount a comeback in OH even though it's a two year term
- Mary Peltola runs in AK, passing up a guaranteed governor win
- The GOP nominates Ken Paxton in TX and the Dems nominate a S tier candidate with James Talarico making it competitive
- The same thing plays out in KS with Roger Marshall and Adam Hamilton
- and also in SC with Darline Graham and Annie Andrews!
- And in MI and IA, the GOP imploding in the governors races in those states has locked up MI for Abdul and has given Turek a great shot in IA
- Dem aligned independents in NE, MT, SD, and ID stretch the field (with Dan Osborn having a great shot in NE)
- But wait, it's not all bad for the GOP, the Dems nominated a scandal-ridden dumpsterfire of a candidate in ME: hold on, you're telling me they got him to drop out with nothing to gain?
You simply couldn't imagine this in 2024 even if you tried to write a Dem wishcast fanfiction

Mallory McMorrow posts that Wedgewood's fake poll of the Democratic US Senate primary in Michigan caused donations towards her campaign to dry up.
As one of the candidates featured in these polls - the infamous one in late June that showed me plummeting into single digits (which was at odds with our internals) - here's the impact of this "experiment"
- Donations dried up
- Volunteers were devastated and pleading for guidance on what to do
- Reporters hounded me with calls to drop out
Sure, a point was proven. Polling is broken. But tens of thousands of people poured their hearts, time, energy, hard-earned money into something they believed in - for a year-and-a-half, and it was treated like a game. Our volunteers gave their all. And then some. I felt like I had let so many of them down.
To be extremely clear, Michigan Democrats are locked in to beat Mike Rogers. We WILL send @AbdulElSayed to the US Senate.
But between crap like this, endless fundraising texts that drive supporters away with spammy fake deadlines and trash "match" claims, scam PACs run rampant for firms to grift without actually supporting candidates, undisclosed content creators pushing content out either misrepresenting themselves as residents of states they don't live in or hiding whether they were paid and by who so they could make a buck, and the tidal wave of dark money ads -- I hope Democrats are ready to blow up the system with campaign finance and transparency reforms.
Trust is already at an all-time low. We don't get out of this mess without rebuilding trust.
And media - who loves to ride the drama of a pollercoaster - needs to take a hard look at what's legitimate and what's not.
If this teaches us anything - DON'T GET COMPLACENT AND DON'T TRUST THE POLLS.
LOCK IN. SIGN UP FOR A CANVASSING SHIFT. LEAVE NOTHING TO CHANCE OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS.

I wish some people would just admit that they care so much about Israel that they’re willing to support a pro-Trump Republican over a strongly pro-Palestinian Democrat. That would be far more intellectually honest.
Unless Abdul El-Sayed can unequivocally condemn the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, SJP, the IRGC, and Hasan Piker, Barack Obama should absolutely not campaign with him.
I understand and support the drive to win majorities in Congress, but we Democrats will be doing immeasurable harm to ourselves if we drop all standards and violate our best principles in pursuit of that goal.
