On Thursday morning, @RestoreBritain founder @RupertLowe10 tweeted: “This is important - the latest huge MRP poll has Restore Britain ahead in more Scottish constituencies than both Reform or the Tories.” The data he cited envisaged a hypothetical tactical voting scenario in a giant MRP poll issued by FindOutNow and Electoral Calculus. It showed that in a world where voters pick tactically (the long explainer for that here, for the nerds like me), Restore Britain would finish ahead of other “parties on the right” in 21 Scottish seats, with the Tories finishing top of this trio in 13, and Reform finishing top in just 12. Eleven of them, it claimed, would be tied. He concluded: “This is remarkable. Restore Britain is now the second largest party in Scotland, and the largest party on the right - bigger than both Reform and the Tories.” Indeed it would have been remarkable. If only it were true. My analysis of the poll over hours on Thursday morning led me to realise there was a methodological inconsistency. I found that although the tactical-voting calculations appeared to affect support for other parties, they actually incorrectly left Restore’s share in every constituency exactly as it was prior to tactical voting. So I shared my findings with the pollster and the immediately corrected their data. The result? ZERO seats where Restore Britain finishes "top of the parties on the right" AND more crucially, it now hands Reform an extra 25 seats nationally. My full tear down and explainer of this are at my Substack, linked in the first reply below. You have no idea how much time and brain power it took to go through reams of data to understand what went wrong here for the pollster.

I quit the Conservative Party in 1992. You were still in primary school, Robert, learning to tie your shoelaces. You then spent years climbing through the very party you now pretend to despise. You were a minister. You sat around the cabinet table. You became Immigration Minister. You were responsible. You, personally, imported with enthusiasm endless scumbags, rapists and freeloaders from the third world. You even fast-tracked their asylum applications. For Afghans, Eritreans, Libyans, Syrians, Yemenis and the Sudanese. Implementing a 10-page Home Office questionnaire rather than a proper interview. A questionnaire, Robert. Really? Are you thick or complicit? One of those successful applicants went on to almost behead an innocent man on our streets. Are you going to apologise for that? Do you feel any shame or responsibility? If it were me, I wouldn't sleep at night. So please, spare me your sanctimonious bullshit. You already had the power you’re so desperate to seize, Robert. And you used that power to wildly throw open our borders to the third world, demographically transforming our country in ways none of us could ever imagine possible. That was your choice. You were the minister, you were responsible. The British people will never forget it, and they will never forgive you.

Tonight in response to Labour's call to their members for donations, I decided to donate £100 to Reform UK. After all the attacks on Reform recently, I support them more than ever. For me, defeating Labour at the next election is vital for our future of the country!

❤️ Thanks for all the well wishes and thanks @GBNEWS for doing everything to help keep our family safe. It was very scary at the time. Wasn’t sure whether or not to share publicly but I think the public should know how dangerous these illegal migrant gangs are.

The last 24 hours have shown that a lot of people do not understand how terrible I feel about the things I did when I was much younger. I know that my previous actions continue to cause pain in the Jewish community. I had thought that getting involved in my local council and working hard for my community was a good way to show how much I have changed and that I want to give something back. I realise now that the fight against antisemitism is something that I actually need to do more of, I need to show the Jewish community how much I regret my previous actions and how hard I will work to fight to help destroy anti-semitism and rebuild trust. I was 21 when antisemitism became my whole way of seeing the world. Because of my abhorrent behaviour I was convicted, imprisoned and deservedly punished. Since leaving prison, I have now spent years fighting antisemitism and extremism. Rehabilitation does not erase what I did. But it does give me a sense of duty. While I cannot change my past, I can warn others away from the same destructive path. I know how this ideology works because I lived inside it. I also know that if I stand as a council candidate, other political parties will spend all their time focusing on my past rather than the work I'm doing today, or even fighting antisemitism in their own midst. Rather than standing as a local council candidate, I believe that my experience is better used supporting Kemi Badenoch in her ongoing mission to combat the antisemitism and extremism that is dividing our nation. I have therefore informed the Party of my decision to withdraw from next year’s council election and Kemi has instead offered that I become an adviser to the Conservative Party’s Culture and Integration Commission, specifically focusing on how young men become radicalised. I am of course sad that Jewish community groups have refused to meet me. My offer to talk still remains. I am on their side, and I am actively trying to help people susceptible to radicalisation and Jew hatred from heading down that path. I love the Conservative Party. I believe in its values, and I believe that Kemi Badenoch is someone who believes in principles, believes in redemption and will stick her to do the right thing. I support the work the Party is doing to rebuild trust with the British people, and I intend on making a meaningful contribution to tackling extremism and promoting social cohesion.
