During #HealthcareQualityWeek, we’re highlighting the work underway through the Age-Friendly Approaches to Specialty Ambulatory Care grant from the Council of Medical Specialty Societies linkedin.com/company/council… (CMSS), with funding from The John A. Hartford Foundation linkedin.com/company/johnaha….
As part of our project, Expanding Age-Friendly Approaches to Urology Care, we are working with urology practices to pilot a urology-specific implementation guide for the Age-Friendly Health Systems 4Ms Framework—What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility.
The pilot will help us refine practical resources that support age-friendly care across the urology community.

❓Could vaginal estrogen be doing more than preventing recurrent UTIs?
New real-world evidence by @Dr_Elise_De, suggests an association between vaginal estrogen use and lower rates of sepsis, hospitalization, and mortality among women with recurrent UTIs. The findings add to a growing body of evidence supporting the role of vaginal estrogen in appropriate patients with GSM and recurrent UTIs.
This #MenopauseAwarenessMonth, the AUA is highlighting the latest research and guideline recommendations to help urologists recognize GSM, discuss evidence-based treatment options, and improve patient care.
