Doctors don’t like this as well. Often we have to take calls from frantic patients before we are aware of results. But this system and rules were mandated upon us. We do the best we can.
Healthcare is the only industry that drops your cancer scan results into an app at 11 PM on a Friday, then closes for the weekend.
No call. No context. Just a PDF full of words like "suspicious" and "cannot be excluded" and a little banner that says "Sleep well!"
Meanwhile billing found me in 4 hours 😐
Great presentations from our residents at our Research Colloquium! @UNDSMHS

Congrats to our team on this important work on Rural Surgery
#Rurality is often assumed to worsen emergency surgical outcomes, yet this study shows that when transfer systems function well, most rural patients achieve equivalent results comparable to metropolitan areas!
