I’m seeing some pretty strong signals that venture money is moving more away from bits and into atoms.
Once it plays out, will $ invested into the physical world have higher or lower returns than software? 🤔
Hard to imagine that physical materials scale as well as software, or have anywhere near as lucrative margins.
But the demand is there and $ is pouring in. Will be fun to see play out!
Just found out you can tell Alexa or Google Home to make your Tesla fart.
Tesla has a developer API, and it’s wild what you can build with your own Tesla's data and controls:
→ Garage LEDs that mirror charging status
→ Alexa/Google Home commands to honk, flash lights or open the tailgate/trunk
→ A morning routine that cools the cabin before you leave
Couldn't resist and built Cyberdeck... a dashboard to replay my Cybertruck drives with speed, torque and battery data.
Public replays appear 15 minutes after each drive, with my home area hidden.

This is a little annoying. None of the projects I've built consume many resources. They get very little traffic. Most the heavy lifting is done by Cloudflare.
I have no way to pay more to get more usage. So now I'm going to spend time migrating sites off of ChatGPT Sites. Big fan of Codex but this is a W.
This is horse shit. I am asking various AI agents to do the same and it turns out insurance companies need a ton of information before supplying you with a quote. I've spent the last 30 minutes feeding answers to the agents...and I could have probably finished the process myself by now.
Yesterday I uploaded my auto insurance policy to Meta @Muse and asked for a better rate with identical coverage. In ~5 minutes, it found a policy saving me $3,500 /year, bought it, and canceled my old one.
I knew I was overpaying. I’d abandoned several attempts to switch because insurance websites and aggregator portals are so painful.
Why fill out forms, compare quotes, and field sales calls when an agent can finish the entire job in five minutes? Killer product.
It's sometimes difficult to understand exactly what radiologists are looking at and describing on Xray's or CT scans. So I had AI interpret the results and markup my Xray to explain what's going on and what my lung may look like if it wasn't fucked up. Pretty rad.

It was wild to see this back in 2017 and understand even then just how misinformed and off a CEO of a major company can be.
Complete arrogance. But you can’t have that without a fundamental lack of understanding.
It’s circular. Arrogance encourages people to think they’re right and it’s below them to consider others’ viewpoints.
So they get stuck in an echo chamber and their arrogance blossoms even further.

Another first for me with FSD (14.3.8) on the Cybertruck. This dude in the semi came flying around the corner on a tight turn and FSD backed up.
Honestly not sure if he would have had clearance or not. Probably but it was close.
