Resilient food supply starts long before the grocery shelf. American mines, steel, packaging and co packers are the backbone. Build the inputs here and stop outsourcing our leverage. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
The Golden Age of American mining is HERE! 🇺🇸
Before yesterday’s historic blast at @MesabiMetallics, @JJovanovicUSA marked the opening of America’s first new iron ore mine in nearly 50 years. Another major win for American workers under @POTUS!
Food independence is not a campaign slogan. It is a factory floor question. The jar, can, and pouch still have to be filled here by reliable American co packers. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
🚨 WOW! JD Vance reveals the US became a net importer of our OWN FOOD under Joe Biden -- for the first time EVER
"We got more of our food from OUTSIDE the United States of America than we did from our OWN FARMERS."
Thankfully, Trump fixed it:
"What Donald J. Trump did when he came into office is he said, we are done with that. We are growing American food on American farms for American families."
That's a MAJOR national issue. Giving control over our food supply to foreign nations is LUDICROUS.
And if we just allow all of our farms to shutter, it's not like we can flip a switch and reopen them all.
Thank God President Trump got elected in 2024.
Food policy is industrial policy. If we want lower prices and resilient shelves, we need more American production and more co packers ready to scale. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
Chatting food, big government and unintended consequences with @drdrew - the government always makes problems worse.
Reshoring is step one. The real win is more food and beverage made on American lines, with co packers ready to scale. Build the supply base here. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
The same logic belongs in food and beverage. US plants create jobs, supplier networks, and resilience you cannot import at the last minute. Build here. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
The presence of Bombardier in Wichita supports a local workforce of more than a thousand employees, who contribute their talent and expertise to our nation’s defense and aerospace capabilities.
This afternoon, I reached out to the Trump administration to make certain the President is aware of the significant contributions of Bombardier to Kansas and the importance of its presence in Wichita to many Kansas workers at Bombardier and in the Bombardier supply chain.
I will continue working to see that Bombardier’s manufacturing operations not only remain in Kansas but continue to grow and create American jobs. Kansas is home to a hardworking, skilled workforce, and I will continue welcoming leaders in aircraft and defense manufacturing to do business here in the Air Capital of the World.
That is the real American manufacturing story. Small shops carry the know how, jobs, and resilience that big headlines miss. More brands should build with US manufacturers. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
Starting today, I'm going to give the world a first hand view of what it is like to own, operate and grow a small manufacturing business.
Beginning with this picture.
This is a picture of my not-so-glamorous shop in northern Illinois. It's also the reality of thousands of other small machine shops across the country.
Mostly older machines (newest 2019), less organized and dirtier than I aim for.
I've worked here since I was 13, ran it since I was 24 and owned it since I was 26. I’m 32 now.
I’ve been considered an old soul and have always kept it real, but what I am about to do scares me.
See, my Opa started this company in 1977 and he always wanted to break $1M in revenue. To celebrate him and the 50th anniversary of Center Tool Company I’m going to do it.
I will double our revenue AND do it publicly. We are on target for $500k in ’26 (pretty much been 500-800k since 1977, very unspectacular)
In ’27 we will break a MIL.
In the grand scheme of things that's pretty small, but it could be entertaining to ride along on the journey.
I’m going to show basically every aspect of what I know and how I do things. I will post about stuff and include actual screen shots, pictures, statements, and documents. Maybe some videos of day in the life or the joys of defense contracting...
I’ll break down the inner workings of not just turning raw metal into finished tooling or parts, but also working with customers, banks, lawyers, the government, family/business and family-business dynamics, personal/business finances, and raising a young family through this.
What do you want to know and/or what I am doing wrong? Comment or DM
America sits at the precipice of reindustrialization. We have a monumental opportunity in front of us. It’s time to burn the ships and go all in.
Bringing manufacturing back to our country could return a healthy middle class and economic boom across small town America - where I live.
Ten billion dollars into American beverage infrastructure means stronger suppliers, better jobs, and a sturdier shelf. More brands should build capacity here. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
Trump Effect: Coca-Cola to invest $10 billion in US infrastructure by 2030
reuters.com/business/coca-co…
A billion dollar shutdown is a supply chain warning. Brands that depend on one plant or overseas inputs are betting the shelf on fragile capacity. More American food production is the safer bet. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
$1B frozen food giant pulls plug on California manufacturing in shock retreat trib.al/y2FTjYj
Ingredient debates are fun. Reliable American production is what actually keeps a food brand alive when demand jumps. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
The first two ingredients in Hidden Valley Ranch are vegetable oil and water. Buttermilk is third, sugar is fourth.
What makes it taste like ranch isn't the buttermilk. It's monosodium glutamate plus disodium inosinate and disodium guanylate, three savory enhancers that work together. Then phosphoric acid for tang and xanthan gum to hold the oil and water together so the bottle doesn't separate on the shelf. That's the same flavor system that goes into chip seasoning and bouillon.
This is the play. Bring capital here, build the line here, and create American food jobs. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
🚨 Italian pasta lands in Missouri! 🇮🇹🍝
Bertagni 1882, Italy’s oldest producer of fresh filled pasta, is opening its first U.S. plant in St. Charles, Missouri
The investment exceeds $36 million and will create 150 jobs
The company was founded in Bologna in 1882 and is now owned by Spain’s Ebro Foods
Its ravioli, tortellini and other filled pastas already reach five continents, both under its own brand and as private label
About 90% of sales are generated outside Italy
The Missouri plant is the brand’s first production site overseas
The site is the former General Mills / TNT Crust facility on Millstone Parkway, which closed only months ago
The purchase was completed on July 1, 2026
Bertagni will make fresh filled pasta there, especially meat-filled lines that have been harder to export while staying fresh
The goal is to shorten the supply chain, strengthen the North American network and serve retailers better
Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe pointed to a historical link: in 1904 Bertagni already won a gold medal at the St. Louis World’s Fair
The 150 jobs will come in two phases: at least 70 by 2029 and 150 by 2034
For St. Charles it is also an industrial reuse: the same site had lost 163 jobs when General Mills left
Mayor Dan Borgmeyer said the deal was put together in under two months, with support from the city, county and state
After more than a century of exports, fresh Italian pasta will now also be made in the Midwest…
US plants beat tariff headlines. Build here.
"If we took a moment to fully understand what President Trump is trying to accomplish, Canada might pursue a very different CUSMA strategy. We're not even trying. Tariffs may not have rebuilt America’s food-manufacturing sector yet, but they have forced manufacturers to adapt to higher input costs and become more productive.
U.S. food manufacturing is now more productive than it was 18 months ago, while Canada is moving in the opposite direction—and that is not good for our food security."
Reshoring only counts when it reaches the products families buy every week. Food and beverage brands need more American lines and reliable co packers, not another supply chain promise. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
Reviving apparel production in America is not a pipe dream. It was not that long ago we were manufacturing 56% of U.S. apparel in America.
“Made in America” is an economic and national security priority of this administration.
@POTUS’ trade actions are ushering in a reshoring renaissance as companies pledge billions of dollars to expand U.S. manufacturing.
Labels can hide the chemistry. They cannot hide weak domestic production. American co packers should win on quality and transparency, not fear marketing. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
No MSG added usually means MSG by another name.
Yeast extract, hydrolyzed soy protein, autolyzed yeast. All deliver glutamate, the same molecule. The claim is technically true and functionally empty.
FDA classifies MSG as safe, and the entire scare traces to one 1968 letter to a medical journal that decades of studies since have failed to reproduce. Your body can't tell tomato glutamate from the added kind.
Spot yeast extract on a no MSG label. That's the workaround.
Exactly. A fuel shock becomes a food shock when too much production depends on long, fragile supply chains. More American plants and co packing capacity are not optional. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
Manufacturing expansion is only real when brands can source the goods people buy every week. Put more food and beverage production on American lines and let domestic capacity do the talking. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
For the EIGHTH month in a row, economic activity in manufacturing continued to expand.
This is a direct result of @POTUS’ policies driving investment, raising wages, and reshoring jobs.
That fuel shock is exactly why America needs more food production close to the farm and the customer. Shorter domestic supply chains mean fewer miles, fewer choke points, and more control when the world gets expensive. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 US diesel has hit an all time high of $6.45 a gallon, up 64% since the Iran war began.
Farmers say they are now paying nearly double for fuel costs as compared to last year.
Higher trucking costs are adding pressure across the entire food supply chain.
Corn, soy and wheat have already rallied to multi-year highs.
And this pressure may not ease anytime soon.
President Trump has already asked Americans to accept higher fuel prices as the cost of preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
Domestic production only counts when brands can actually make the product here. Food and beverage need more American plants, not just better speeches. 🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
America is building again! 🇺🇸
@POTUS is restoring domestic production, strengthening our supply chains, and creating a stronger foundation for American prosperity for generations to come!
America cannot call it a comeback if the shelves still depend on overseas plants. Bring more food and beverage production home, give brands reliable co packing, and let American jobs follow. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
We need to bring 40 to 50% of semiconductor manufacturing back home to America.
With @MicronTech alone, that means 100,000 American jobs, great communities coming back, and America winning again.
Moving beverage production to American lines turns demand into jobs and reliable supply. More food and beverage brands should build here. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
Food safety rules only matter when brands can prove what goes into every package. That takes traceable production and serious plants here, not blind trust in overseas supply chains. 🇺🇸 usafactorynetwork.com
For nearly 70 years, food and beverage companies have been able to decide on their own that a new ingredient is safe and put it on the market without informing the Food and Drug Administration.
But a new proposal could require that companies notify the agency when they add a new substance to human or animal food. to.pbs.org/4gLndm4
