Two interesting things I discovered this week are: 1. That you can get genuine court affidavits online from the Nigerian Federal High Court. A genuine one, not the ones those roadside people give you. The website has all sorts of affidavits, even ones I didn't know existed. 2. The National Population Commission has a working portal. You can register your newborn online and get a certified birth certificate that is accepted worldwide. You can do all these things without any bureaucracy. For 1, visit: portal.fhc.gov.ng/ For 2, visit: vitalreg-selfservice.nationa… Joseph Adedeji

My sisters and I contributed ₦6 million each to send our only brother to the UK. Since he left, he has never sent any of us money or gifts. Last Christmas, our eldest sister told him, “You’re settled now. It’s time to bring another sibling over.” He replied, “I’m bringing my girlfriend first. I need to start my own family.” My sister insisted. He asked for her account number and sent her ₦6 million. Then he texted: “I’ll settle the others later.”

WORD!!!
If you know anyone that has been good to you in your life journey, please do all you can not to be in their bad books. It doesn't matter if that good person is not good to another person that you know. Judge him or her by how they treat you, and not by how they treat others. You don't know why they may not be kind to the other person. And I am not just talking about how he or she treats random people on the streets. That's different. Also, when someone shows you kindness even in secret, please do well to tell others, even if you may never be able to pay the person back. By doing so, you may be saving the person and giving them a good name in the sight of some others who may be judging the person wrongly from afar. This was what my late father told me, and so I just feel like sharing it to others. Put simply, do not inherit other people's enemies, because you do not know what transpired between them. Unless you are aware. End.

I love what you're doing. You'll be so big with this show that you'll soon start interviewing other world leaders. You have been able to interview one of the most respected leaders in Africa. It's a remarkable achievement. Keep it up, and God bless you big time 🙏

This was my thoughts exactly seeing the comment section.
Saying “Bae U having Obasanjo on Curiosity made me ask is not a big deal because Obasanjo is accessible” is a very mumucious thing to say. That show is not an interview o. It is a banter show. A show where you drag your guests like a primary school classmate. For odindin Obasanjo to come and banter his great grandson is in fact the biggest deal. Ma gbegẹ si.

While the consolers move on, the bereaved often don’t. The calls reduce. The messages stop. Everyone returns to their lives. And because everyone else has moved on, you are expected to move on too. You learn to smile. You go back to work. You show up. You laugh. You pretend you’re okay because you don’t want to burden anyone or hear, “You need to move on. Other people have.” So you put on a strong front in public and break down in private. The scary realization that grief may not disappear. You simply learn to carry it quietly Because the world eventually gets tired of your sadness long before you heal from your loss. Eventually, the bereaved goes silent. Not because they have healed but because the world expects them to “wrap it up” and move on. Selah.

Thank you 🙏
After Hagar fled from Sarah for maltreating her out of jealousy, she went to the wilderness where God appeared to her and blessed her because the child she was carrying was a seed of Abraham. After God blessed her, she called him ‘El Roi’ - meaning, the God who sees me. Prior to that time, no one had ever seen her. Her only identity was Sarah’s hand maid. Sarah saw her as a maid. Abraham saw her as Sarah’s maid. People saw her as Sarah’s maid. But for the first time in her life, someone saw her. Someone saw her enough to bless her. That is also the very first time someone gave God a name - El Roi. I don’t know what you’re going through but I know many of you are at your lowest point and nobody sees you. I pray God sees you. El Roi ❤️

Investing in these children was worth it. They came to Rome and conquered. We will double down on investing in educating our children.

But this time, this year he will be celebrating his birthday at home but sadly doesn't have any friends cos he is always in d hospital. Now she posts and asks if people can just drive by and say hello and happy birthday to her son between 2 and 3pm and this was how people showed up for her.

Imagine an election where ballot boxes are not burnt or smashed or snatched. Or an election where the citizens are not given rice, beans or money to vote. I was old enough to witness this on June 12, 1993 in minimal proportions. That's why it's adjudged to be the freest & fairest election in the history of Nigerian democracy. Not that it was perfect. But it was good enough for the majority of the citizens not to question the credibility, integrity and legitimacy of their leaders. These irregularities and lack of trust and fair transparency have cast a significant doubt on the integrity of our elections & competence in our political leaders. And Peter Obi wants to change that narrative. He keeps trying to find a platform to help him achieve this. While most politicians are looking for platforms that would help them sustain it. Peter Obi is different, and Nigerians need a difference. End.

Oh Savannah 🤣🤣🤣
There was a little girl in church, about 5, and her parents obviously let her get dressed herself that day because she came waddling in with the puffiest coat on in the summer in North Carolina. She comes and sits in the pew in front of us. 15 minutes into mass she turns around and hands my husand an orange. Her parents are mortified. "Savannah not again!" They scold! (Again kills me) They appologize and she turns back around. A few moments later she goes to hand me an orange but her parents grab it from her before she can. Savannah is determined. She reaches her tiny fists into her puffy coat and pulls out two more ornages. She begins to distribute them. Her parents are now beat red and in shock. There is no stopping small Savannah now. This small child proceeds to laugh a laugh I can only call maniacal (in a Catholic church) unzip the inner line of her coat and releases what had to have been 20-30 of those little kid oranges into the pews. WE EAT Savannah yells cackeling The priest can no longer contain his glee The entire church is dying with laughter She felt like Jesus on the moutian with the baskets of fish that day I'm sure.
