💜 UPDATE ON MY SISTER & OUR FAMILY: 💜
My sister is still in the ICU and has a long road of recovery and treatment ahead of her. She can talk a little and move some, but she is still extremely weak.
Once she is able to leave the hospital, we’ve been told she will likely need to spend 1–2 months in rehab to work on walking again, rebuilding her strength, and recovering from brain surgery.
The surgeons were able to remove the tumor except for one area that was simply too dangerous to touch. She will be meeting with oncology in the coming days to determine the best course of treatment for what remains—whether that means medication, chemotherapy, radiation, or another treatment plan.
A HUGE and heartfelt THANK YOU to Dr. Bi and the team at Mass General Brigham for taking care of my baby sister through such an incredibly scary surgery. ❤️
Her kiddos are thankfully in good spirits. The two littlest ones 2 years old and 5 months old just want their mommy and don't understand where she is, which is heartbreaking. 💔 Right now, my mom and I are caring for the kids at my sister's house, where they are most comfortable and can stay in familiar surroundings while Mommy gets stronger.
I also want to say THANK YOU to the few of you who have donated to help me through this. It means more than you know. ❤️
Thankfully, both my mom and my sister have traditional 9–5 jobs that provide paid leave, and they are currently receiving 100% of their regular pay while they are out. That is an enormous blessing and one less thing for our family to worry about right now.
My situation is different.
Being a small content creator means I don't have paid family leave, sick time, vacation days, or PTO when a family emergency happens. When I can't work or do my regular shows, I simply don't earn what I normally would.
I know there are people who don't consider content creation a “real job,” and you're entitled to that opinion but I respectfully disagree.
I've worked my entire life, including while growing up in foster care, and eventually had a career in corrections. I didn't choose to become sick after COVID. I didn't choose to lose so much of my mobility or to live with serious and painful health problems. Some of those struggles I've shared publicly, while others I've chosen to keep private.
I also have children of my own to care for, including a child living with an incredibly rare terminal illness. When my own health changed, my realistic choices were to go on disability and try to survive on roughly $1,000 a month, or find something I could do from home that allowed me to work around my health and my family's needs.
I chose content creation.
It allows me to change my schedule at a moment's notice, work when my body allows me to, stop when the pain becomes too much, be there for my children, and avoid childcare costs that I simply couldn't afford.
This isn't the life or health I planned for. At times, illness and chronic pain have already made me feel like pieces of the life I once had were taken from me. I found something I could do within the circumstances I was given, and I've worked hard to build it.
For those who understand that, thank you. ❤️ For those who don't, it is what it is. You're entitled to your opinion.
Right now, my regular shows are going to be anything BUT regular for a while. I'm helping my mom care for my sister's children while still having bills to pay, groceries to buy, and my own household and children to take care of.

🎥"Will you comply with the public records law or work to overturn it?"🎤
That's the question we asked Senate President Karen Spilka and her colleagues at a State House Event. With 86% voting YES on Question 1 you'd think they'd honor the will of the voters.
But before Question 1 can even take effect, lawmakers already have legislation sitting in conference committee that could weaken what voters just approved. Essentially, overturning the election results.
Even before voters passed this question, lawmakers set to work trying to undermine it by passing their own versions of the law. H.5469 and S.3244 would create a completely new and separate public records system for the Legislature. Rather than simply subjecting the Legislature to the existing Public Records Law, we see the House and Senate bills limit disclosure to a defined list of “legislative records” and establish a separate process for challenging records that lawmakers refuse to release.
That distinction matters. Question 1 was intended to bring the Legislature under the same Public Records Law that already applies across much of state and local government. Creating a separate system for lawmakers risks preserving special treatment for Beacon Hill and limiting the transparency voters mandated on election day.
That is not what voters just approved.
Voters were asked a straightforward question: Should most records held by the Legislature and Governor’s Office be subject to the Massachusetts Public Records Law?
They said yes.
The Legislature should not use a lame duck session to substitute its own narrower version of the law voters just approved. Nor should lawmakers use a conference committee to accomplish something that voters rejected at the ballot box.
This is bigger than a disagreement over legislative procedure. It is about whether elected officials will respect a clear decision made directly by Massachusetts voters. Its about a legislature that overturns the election results.
Beacon Hill should not now rewrite that decision.

The Massachusetts State Police did NOT admit Karen Read was framed! A judge did NOT find a conspiracy, and $100K was NOT awarded because she proved wrongdoing!
MSP filed a MOTION asking the court to dismiss her declaratory judgment claims and enter judgment for $100K on her remaining tort claims.
WHY $100K? Because that's the statutory damages cap for qualifying claims under the Massachusetts Tort Claims Act!
And NO, $100K is NOT necessarily the most she could recover across all her lawsuits. (If she were "framed")
But here's what I find HILARIOUS!
If you genuinely believe Karen Read was the victim of some massive conspiracy to frame her for MURDER, WHY are you celebrating a motion that would end her claims against MSP WITHOUT a judicial finding that she was framed?
Wouldn't you WANT her to prove those allegations in court? Wouldn't a finding of wrongdoing be far more significant than a $100K judgment that doesn't establish a conspiracy?
MSP is literally asking the judge to DISMISS her requests for declaratory relief and enter judgment for the statutory maximum on the remaining tort claims!
Now, a declaratory judgment isn't automatically a finding that someone was framed, and accepting a limited judgment doesn't mean abandoning every other lawsuit.
BUT STOP CLAIMING THIS PROVES SHE WAS FRAMED!
A motion is NOT a ruling. Consent to judgment is NOT an admission of conspiracy. And $100K under a statutory damages cap is NOT proof that her allegations were true!
You're celebrating a legal filing as though it were a jury verdict proving a frame job!
The only thing this document proves is that some people desperately need to take their Factsitol before attempting legal analysis! 💊🐢😂

Kim, all those alleged credentials and we're still struggling with basic facts? 🤣
First, Karen Read was NOT found “not guilty of homicide twice.” Trial #1 ended in a HUNG JURY. Trial #2 resulted in an acquittal on the homicide charges. That's ONE acquittal, darlin', not TWO. Basic math. Basic law. Double jeopardy. Look into it.
Second, Lisa pointed out that you didn't even know John O'Keefe had a knee injury. Now you're writing a medical dissertation about the size and location of that injury as though that somehow erases your original mistake. 🤣
And since when does a 0.5 cm abrasion become medically irrelevant simply because it's small? The existence, location and significance of an injury are three different questions. You don't get to dismiss documented evidence because it doesn't fit your preferred narrative.
Also, an intraosseous line placed during resuscitation is a medical intervention, not an injury from the original incident. Nobody should be confusing the two.
You don't have to be an ER nurse to understand that, and claiming a collection of credentials doesn't automatically make your interpretation correct.
Maybe spend less time trying to sound like the smartest person in the conversation and more time making sure what you're saying is actually accurate.
