Joined Delegates @DelBetsyCarr and @shelly_simonds today at the Virginia Policy Summit along the James River in Richmond. Fittingly, many of the conversations focused on Virginia’s water resources, Chesapeake Bay restoration, climate resilience, and balancing growth with environmental stewardship. Thank you to the organizers, speakers, and stakeholders for an informative day.

Not only that, but this year’s ballot will have three constitutional amendments to be voted on: One to enshrine reproductive rights, another to enshrine marriage equality, and one for voting rights restoration. Vote YES on all of them!
Election day is almost here! Join Virginia House Democrats as we Vote YES on questions 1, 2, and 3 to:
✅ Protect Virginians’ freedom to make reproductive healthcare decisions.
✅ Ensure the stability and security of every Virginia family.
✅ Enshrine the right to vote in our Constitution for all eligible Virginians.
We’ll see you at the polls!
Today, we celebrate the firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and law enforcement officers who answer the call when Virginians need help most. Thank you for your courage, dedication, and unwavering service to the Commonwealth!

Today I joined Senator Jeremy McPike and key energy and environmental stakeholders for our first Demand Flexibility Technical Conference as we begin the work of implementing HB284 and SB371 with Virginia's not-for-profit electric cooperatives.
Thanks to our partners for discussing existing programs, best practices, and opportunities to expand demand flexibility, and most importantly, protect ratepayers.

This week, FEMA leadership and the Trump administration signaled that states may soon be expected to handle more disasters with less federal assistance.
During our Joint Subcommittee on Recurrent Flooding this week, I asked VDEM whether Virginia is financially and operationally prepared for this possibility.
This is exactly why passing Delegate @AlexAskew757 HB 169 was so important this year.
We must assess our emergency management needs and prepare for a future where states shoulder more responsibility.
