The UK is said to already be holding talks with the EU about a possible return to freedom of movement after Andy Burnham reopened the debate on membership of the bloc. Complete insanity from this deranged government. share.google/R59ZTCxKuJmy1jK…
Freezing personal tax allowances is what Blair's "New Labour" government did whilst dishonestly claiming that it was not raising taxes.
Freeze personal tax allowances and as wages rise over time more and more people pay more and more tax.

The ‘cordon sanitaire’ that’s kept Marine Le Pen out of power may no longer hold after these riots. The French public is tired of giving the elites the benefit of the doubt. This terrifies Europe’s rulers far more than the unrest, says Richard Schenk

How do you explain the fact that devout Christians arrive at different interpretations of the Bible?
Replying to @Veritatem2021
The logic of this sentence clearly sets out two conditions that must be met. There is no forgiveness of sins if someone were to be baptized but consciously decide not to repent of their sins, continuing to regard everything they have done as right and good. Nor is there forgiveness of sins if someone were to undertake penance but fail to use the means clearly instituted for this purpose: baptism (or the other means provided for after baptism). Anything else is a denial of the Bible.
God grants forgiveness for sins and salvation to those who repent for their sins directly to him in prayer.
Are you denying this?
Yes or no.
I did NOT say it is "nothing more" than a public demonstration.
I said it is a public demonstration that you have repented of your sins directly to God and he has forgiven you.

You said baptism is nothing more than a "public demonstration"
I wonder why Jesus' last words in Matthew's Gospel specifically said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"
Matthew 5 verses 27-28:
"You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Admiring God's creation is not sin.
Our goal as Christians...
Everything we think, say and do should bring glory and honor to God.

"Fossil fuels bad?" Fossil fuels were key to saving forests in the United States and Europe. Wood went from providing nearly all primary energy in 1850 to 50 percent in 1920 to 7 percent today.

Turns out the Labour government is baffled by the fact that Poundland, a company that sells high volume goods at rock bottom prices with very thin margins, might go bankrupt after they’ve continually increased their labour costs
That’s astoundingly cretinous

So Jesus told us to do something but it doesn’t tie to salvation? Was circumcision a symbol also

“I went to my manager and told them about it, and his response was to say, ‘Would you like some therapy?’”
Jewish staff at the BBC have said managers “gaslit” them when they complained about anti-Semitism at the broadcaster.
Instead of taking the complaints seriously, managers had asked the alleged victims whether they would like therapy, it was claimed. Others were allegedly told they were being “oversensitive” when they had reported anti-Semitic language⤵️

In Gaza, Jews get decapitated and their bodies are torn into trophies for Palestinians.
In Israel, Arabs get to vote.
I’m tired of listening to progressives with no education beyond Twitter claiming Palestinians are the oppressed ones.
Devout Christians across all denominations have similar experiences. It is not uniquely Roman Catholic.
I want to be honest about something.
Catholicism is hard.
This doesn’t mean there weren’t struggles before in evangelicalism. But so much more is required of me now. I’m not one to blame everything on “spiritual warfare,” but I can kind of pinpoint my conversion as the moment when I made Satan particularly unhappy. And he has been relentless in his pursuit.
Alongside experiencing all the joys and beauty of the Catholic faith, I have discovered vices and intense temptations I never had before, and so many days, the struggle against them feels agonizing.
But the Christian life isn’t about simply being saved from suffering. It is about being united to Christ, even in our suffering. That’s the beauty of Catholicism: understanding that our suffering has purpose when it is united to Christ.
It is a long and arduous journey with a deep reward. Salvation isn’t just about avoiding Hell, but about complete transformation, healing, and restoration to what God created us to be.
God entered our brokenness, defeated sin and death, and invites us into a healing, transformative relationship made real through the Incarnation and the Cross, and continually made present to us in the Eucharist.
That’s beautiful.
It’s worth it.
But Catholicism is hard, and I’m not going to pretend it isn’t.
