Livebridge Properties is a real estate company that has left many of its subscribers in pain and debt. The CEO of Livebridge Properties, Obinna Nwaneri, marketed different plots of land here in Abuja, claiming that they were FCDA allocations. Because of the label “FCDA ALLOCATION,” many people trusted the company and invested in the properties. The lands were sold for prices ranging from ₦2.5 million to ₦10 million per plot. After receiving payment, he reportedly issued building plans and collected infrastructure fees of over ₦300,000. He went further to threaten subscribers, demanding that they move to the site immediately or risk having their allocations revoked. About 70 people moved to the site and began construction, with over 55 people building their houses to the finishing stage. Some had even installed doors and windows. To their greatest shock, a few months ago, the FCDA arrived and marked the entire area for demolition. Just like that, their years of hard work and investments were brought down in the blink of an eye. According to the subscribers, Development Control informed them that Mr. Obinna Nwaneri had not been allocated the land, contrary to what was advertised. Development Control also reportedly made it clear that no building approval had been issued, raising serious questions about the authenticity of the approvals allegedly provided to the subscribers. If these allegations are established, this would represent a devastating betrayal of trust and could have serious financial consequences for the affected subscribers.
