The JCPOA was a nuclear control mechanism "against" Iran...
That deal WAS Iran already compromising on its nuclear "ambitions", accepting caps and inspections in exchange for sanctions relief, and the United States under Trump walked out of it and tore it up anyway in 2018.
So ask the question honestly. If Iran signed THAT deal, held to it, and then saw America abandon it and tear it up regardless, what kind of NEW nuclear deal is Iran supposed to believe in now?
There is ZERO agreement Iran can put on the table that would satisfy what the American Institutions are after, because what America wants goes well past ANY possible deal, all the way to the FULL surrender of the nuclear position, and behind that, of Iran's sovereignty itself.
And Iran will NEVER hand that over, not without fighting to the very end, because it saw what happened to the men who did.
1. In Iraq, Saddam Hussein gave up weapons he did not even have and was hanged.
2. Muammar Gaddafi dismantled his program, shook hands with the West, and was sodomized then killed in a ditch eight years later.
The lesson every sovereign state pulled out of Iraq and Libya's experience is that disarming yourself is the thing that gets you invaded.
Iran has tied its nuclear program to its sovereignty, to its identity, to its research and development, and to its standing as a state that bends to NO ONE, and it treats it as a national treasure.
Asking Iran to "give it up" is the equivalent of Russia demanding the United States shut down NASA.
No serious power does that, under any pressure, at any price.
I get challenged on this constantly, because I do not "fit neatly inside anyone's camp" or world view, and my reading will agree with you one day and inflame you the next.
I read this the way a realist reads it, by power and incentive and revealed preference, and not by the side I am "supposed" to be cheering for.
I am not taking Iran's side here. I am describing what ANY state does when it is ordered to disarm by the same power that just tore up the last disarmament it agreed to.

Name the last population North Korea bombed into the Stone Age.
Name the last foreign president China abducted in a military raid.
Now do the same exercise for the country that told you to be afraid.
The fear is a product.
It is manufactured, distributed, and renewed on a regular cycle because fear justifies the budget.
And the budget justifies the bases.
And the bases justify the fear.
You are not afraid because these countries are "dangerous."
You are afraid because someone, very powerful, very expensive, needs you to be.
Follow the money.
Follow the bases.
Follow the bombs.
And then ask yourself one more time:

The US empire only has two tools left to force the world into line: financial sanctions and dropping bombs.
For 30 years, this worked. You either obeyed Washington's "rules-based order," or you got sanctioned, overthrown, or bombed.
But China, Russia and Iran are seems to not playing those rules. They aren't just breaking them; they are building entirely new lines.
Look at the material reality of this shift:
- The US weaponized the banking system and stole sovereign reserves. The result? The Global South is building parallel financial networks. Trade in local currencies is exploding. Ao, you cannot sanction a transaction if you do not control the ledger.
- The US empire runs on financialization, debt, and printing money. The emerging multipolar bloc runs on physical reality: energy, minerals, manufacturing, and infrastructure. You cannot bomb your way out of a supply chain deficit.
- Every time Washington imposes a new sanction to "punish" defiance, it just forces more countries to join the alternative system. The empire’s favorite weapon has become the exact catalyst for its own decline.
So, where is this going?
We are watching the transition from a unipolar financial system to a multipolar physical world.
The transition will be violent. A dying hegemon will use bombs, blockades, and proxy wars to try and stop the tide. But the historical direction is set.
The old order was based on who could print the most dollars and drop the most bombs.
The new order is being built by those who mine the lithium, refine the oil, and build the factories.
The US empire cannot sanction a new world into submission. It can only sanction itself out of it.

MAJOR BREAKING: Netanyahu, in a statement just moments ago, claims that Mojtaba Khamenei has decided to move forward to trying to develop nuclear weapons. He also states that “the only way to eliminate this threat once and for all is to topple the Iranian regime”.
He has instructed Mossad and the IDF to “act accordingly”.
There are many aspects to unpack here, but let’s start with the most obvious: Netanyahu has EVERY incentive to claim that Iran is sprinting for the bomb in order to ensure the United States returns to all-out war with Iran in the coming weeks. This is irrefutable.
It should also be noted that it would not be surprising AT ALL if Iran actually DID decide to move to acquire nuclear weapons as a DIRECT result of the U.S./Israel war of aggression against Iran. This is almost certainly the only way that Iran can TRULY establish deterrence from future US/Israeli aggression in the future.
But what stands out to me more than anything to me here is the clear admission about what this war has ALWAYS been about for Israel and the United States:
Total REGIME CHANGE.
All of these false goals of “proxy group funding”, “missile and drone research and development”… it’s all bullshit, and has been since day one. And not just from Israel, but from the United States as well.
Washington DC doesn’t TRUST Iran to adhere to any deal they make with the United States. Not because there is basically… ANY precedent to support this distrust, but because the Israeli Lobby, Iran Hawks, Iranian Diaspora, and Neocons in Washington have such a deeply rooted HATRED of any and everything having to do with Iran.
Their warped and twisted view of Iran should be evident to everyone at this point. The total inability for these people to view Iran in a realistic and rational way is one of the CORE REASONS why this war of choice from the U.S. and Israel has been such a total shit show from day one.
But here is the other reality that needs to be acknowledged: For Israel, they don’t CARE how many people around the world suffer and die to support their goals of Greater Israel. They don’t care that civilians will pay the ultimate price for Israel to continue pushing for regime change even though it is VERY OBVIOUS that regime change in Iran is utterly delusional at this point.
So is this claim from Netanyahu true?
Maybe! But it doesn’t matter. He will say ANYTHING to continue this war, and he will DO ANYTHING to ensure that the Iranian government is overthrown.
He doesn’t CARE how many people around the world suffer. He doesn’t care how many around the world DIE. And he most CERTAINLY does not give a single shit about the Iranian people.
This is about Israel. This is about regional domination. This is about maintaining Israel’s control over the United States.
This is the Bibi Show, we are just mere pawns to be sacrificed in his sick game.
