🚨🚨HEARTWARMING UPDATE🚨🚨
Former #NFL defensive end Devon Still broke down in tears after seeing his daughter Leah working her FIRST JOB at Chick-fil-A this week.
Leah was diagnosed with cancer as a young child and underwent chemotherapy. During her treatments, she rarely wanted to eat anything unless it was Chick-fil-A.
Now, 12 years later, Leah is cancer-free and has started her first job at the very restaurant that helped her get through those difficult days.
Devon shared that he pulled up to pick her up from work and saw her helping a customer. He immediately became emotional.
“Now I’m sitting in the car with tears pouring down my face.”
Still also revealed that doctors once told him how far Leah’s cancer had spread, and he began accepting the possibility that she might not survive.
“To go from that to this, I can’t explain what I’m feeling. Just know I’m grateful.”
Leah still orders the exact same Chick-fil-A meal she loved during chemotherapy.
THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

At least 5–6 true freshmen from Southern California (SoCal high school or hometown) are in position to play or contribute in the Oct. 31 Ohio State at USC game.
Here’s the main group:
Ohio State
• Luke Fahey (QB) — Mission Viejo (CA). The expected starter with Julian Sayin out.
• Chris Henry Jr. (WR) — Played at Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA). True freshman who has already seen action.
• Khary Wilder (DE) — Gardena (CA) / Junípero Serra. True freshman who has appeared in games this season (rotational/spot duty).
USC
• Kayden Dixon-Wyatt (WR) — Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA). One of the Trojans’ top targets as a true freshman.
• Trent Mosley (WR) — Santa Margarita / Rancho Santa Margarita (CA). Big early contributor who returned from a knee injury.
• Mark Bowman (TE) — Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA). Started and produced early; dealing with an injury but the bye should help him be available.
USC also has other true freshmen from the Mater Dei/Trinity League pipeline (e.g., Tomuhini Topui on the defensive line) who could see snaps.

David Brooks, NY Times: "Starting in 2015, we in the Main Stream Media learned that if you bash Donald Trump, the clicks go up, the ratings go up— it became the business model.
And we get to go to sometimes off the record dinners between journalists, columnists, and politicians. And I would say over the last two years, when you were at a dinner with Democrat politicians, there was distance between the journalists and democrats.
They’re politicians, it’s our job to keep some distance. In my view, in many of the places I’ve been to, there’s no distance anymore. And that is the problem for the media. We have to establish some distance from the Democratic Party. These are people we cover, these are not people we root for. We’re not supposed to be spin doctors for them…”

Underrated life advice: Keep proof that good things happen to you. Old photos. Kind messages. Positive feedback. Notes from great days. Whatever. Store them in a single place. Call it a Rainy Day Folder. Pop it open on a bad day and watch your mood turn. It's a free reset button.

We just made it to Arkansas. A new state for all of us!
I want to use this post to say thank you to VW who offered us to use one of their cars for this roadtrip so we don’t need to worry about the rental car hassle we had on the last trip.
