Forever grateful to the team of Star Trek: Picard season 3, specifically Terry Matalas, for giving us this true family reunion. Now it will never come again….
Farewell, Sir Patrick 🖖🏻

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Disney’s first major mistake after buying Star Wars/Lucasfilm was closing down LucasArts and laying off all of their staff.

I’m seeing the myth that The Empire Strikes Back was originally disliked by the fans cropping up again, so here’s a video from 1980 of some fans leaving the theatre after seeing it for the first time.

Luke in the George Lucas continuity: happily married, has a kid, leader of the stronger version of the Jedi Order, and loved, feared, and respected through the galaxy.
Luke in the Disney continuity: a failure who lives alone on a deserted island after attempting to murder his nephew because of a bad dream. And he ends up ODing on the force because apparently force-based long distance communication can kill you now.

Film Threat creator Chris Gore on the current state of Star Wars:
"Disney turning Star Wars from a boy brand into a girl brand will prove to be the costliest decision in movie history."
Did Disney destroy this property or can it be saved?

Nielsen’s Star Wars streaming data backs up what the numbers already showed and what we previously told you: The Acolyte was not some major Disney+ success story.
The new data, released for Star Wars Day, also paints a rough picture for Disney’s newer Star Wars movies.
Not one sequel trilogy title made Nielsen’s Top 10 most-streamed Star Wars titles list for May 4, 2025.
That means noThe Force Awakens. No The Last Jedi. No The Rise of Skywalker.
For a franchise Disney spent billions to relaunch, that says everything.

Retconning the entire shitty ass sequel trilogy would be the boldest and most brilliant thing Disney ever did
This speaks for itself doesn't it?
