🇳🇴🇺🇦 DAY 209 | COUNTRY #19 — NORWAY! 🚴♂️
Hello, Norway! Another country, another milestone in my journey around the world by bicycle for peace in Ukraine!
This morning, I crossed the Swedish–Norwegian border after riding through freezing temperatures, challenging hills, and incredibly thick fog. Visibility was terrible, and my glasses kept fogging up, making an already difficult ride even more challenging! 🌫️🥶 Look at my glasses 😬😅
But nothing was going to stop Masha and me from reaching country number 19!
Before saying goodbye to Sweden, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful Swedish fellas and fellerinas who welcomed me, encouraged me, and supported my mission. Special thanks to the Members of the Swedish Parliament and our Ukrainian Ambassador for their time, kindness, and support. 🇸🇪❤️
Sweden, you’ve been wonderful! This isn’t a final goodbye. I’ll be back in just a few days. See you soon!
🇳🇴 And now, HELLO NORWAY!
Why am I doing this?
I’m traveling around the world by bicycle to raise awareness about Ukraine and help raise funds for desperately needed ambulances through UNITED24.
Every kilometer, every border crossing, and every conversation is another opportunity to remind the world that Ukraine still needs our support.
The journey is long, the challenges are real, but the mission is bigger than any hill, freezing morning, or foggy road.
💙💛 HAVE YOU DONATED YET?
Help provide desperately needed ambulances for Ukraine through UNITED24. Every contribution matters, and sharing my story helps spread the message even further.
🇺🇦 Donate to UNITED24 — link in my pinned post!
☕ Support my journey on Buy Me a Coffee — link in my Bio!
Thank you to everyone following, supporting, and believing in this journey.
19 countries down. The mission continues! 🇺🇦❤️

1/ Apocalyptic scenes in Samara following Ukrainian drone strikes on the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery show Donald Trump's powerlessness, say Russian warbloggers. They lament that the Ukrainians appear to be ignoring the man they once acclaimed as 'our Trumpushka'. ⬇️

Today, October 30th, my dad has been killed in action.
My kind, calm father.
I write it here because I know my dad has many friends in the NAFO community, people who he could rely on for help.
His memory will perdure on this account.
Forever loved and missed.
🛡️🕯️❤️
and the betrayal continues.

speaking for all of Europe, i hereby kindly ask U.S. Pentagon officials to stop sucking russian d*cks and licking russian butth*les. it undermines the security of our continent. thank you for your attention to this matter.
Exclusive: Pentagon officials have in recent weeks asked several NATO countries to tone down their rhetoric regarding the threat posed by Russia, arguing that some statements by European leaders and officials have undermined continental security reut.rs/4sxwEuB

The Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery in Russia is burning on a very large scale after an attack by Ukrainian drones. I think it will be out of operation for a long time.
In recent days, Ukraine refrained from attacking Russian oil refineries, as Trump had asked. But the Russians kept striking our energy infrastructure, so they got a fair response.
some Ukrainian units did not get the memo lol
Ukraine’s military has paused its strikes against Russian oil refineries, people with knowledge of the operations said, after weeks of pressure from President Trump shook Kyiv’s confidence in U.S. support. on.wsj.com/47NMJmG

There are at least 11 separate fires at the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery.
Our pleas have been heard, and now they’ve started to take out the entire refinery in a single strike, rather than just one unit.

In the last few weeks Ukranian Neptune missiles have done at least 300-400 million dollars in damage to the Russian air-force.
The equivalent of 6 months of SU-34 production has been wiped out in the last few weeks and years worth of production has been destroyed so far overall.
maar volgens @sjoerdjdegroot valt rusland niet doelbewust Oekraïense burgerdoelen aan... 🙃
This is beyond horrifying.
Russia struck a railway station in Dnipro with a drone, killing 13 people who were simply waiting for their train.
The drone operators could see the platform in real time. They could see the civilians standing there. They knew what they were targeting, and they struck anyway.

Another horrific russian terrorist attack. Trump's friends from the russian army hited civilians in Dnipro with a drone while they were waiting for a train.
At least 13 people were killed.
I hope that after this barbaric attack, Trump won't thank Putin once again and lift another round of sanctions against Russia.
Caolan has obviously done good work for Ukraine. and you can debate the copyright strike, but this shouldn't be controversial: using Ukrainian journalists' work while cropping logos and removing attribution is NOT OK. neither is attacking Ukrainians who ask for credit.
Since a few Kyiv Independent readers have asked, I’d like to explain what happened with Caolan Robertson’s video, out of respect for our supporters.
Our team found that a video on Caolan’s @CaolanReports YouTube channel included a fragment of an earlier Kyiv Independent video, used without permission and without a request for permission. It wasn’t just footage. It was an animated map that takes our team a lot of work to produce.
Importantly, Caolan’s video cropped out our logo from the fragment. Instead of crediting our work, it fully removed the attribution to the Kyiv Independent. That isn’t citation or fair use.
Our team member did what is standard when your content is used this way on YouTube: They filed a copyright report. YouTube reviewed the case and removed the video. We follow the same process whenever our work is used without permission, regardless of who the creator is.
Worth noting that a removal like this doesn’t kill the creator’s work: The video can simply be re-uploaded without the copyrighted material.
So I was surprised that Caolan instead chose to publicly attack the journalists whose work he lifted, and to appeal to journalistic solidarity in a case where he didn’t demonstrate any.
Our team has been reporting on the ground in Ukraine since before the full-scale invasion. We’re independent, funded mostly by our readers, and we earn every dime. We’re very proud of our work, from front-line reporting to war crimes investigations. We respect the work of other journalists and expect the same for ours.
I wish Caolan all the best in telling his audience about Ukraine. If he ever wants to use our work, he’s welcome to ask, like anyone else.
We are all on the same side when it comes to this: We want as many voices as possible telling the world about Ukraine. But being on the same side means respecting and crediting each other’s work. Credit matters because the reporting everyone draws on has to come from somewhere.
Thank you.
