in past, ticketless travellers mostly used to be apologetic, but now they are bolder... they demand that you best accommodate their wishes. even in first class they'd barge in... it is mostly because railways doesn't enforce the rules... gotten worse in last 10-15 years.

Massive credit to Deepi & team for keeping this Ambulance service going. It’s a purely loss making arm. Usually such initiatives are started to put a veneer of philanthropy over the exploitation of cheap labour. Like the CSR petroleum companies do. But they haven’t gone to town with marketing this service. Even though Zomato has great marketing muscle. Kept it pristine. No testimonials on TV of people swearing by this, how it saved their life. CONGRESS MUKT BHARAT? REMEMBER WHO MADE THAT ARROGANT DECLARATION? By Sanjay Jha No, Mr Modi. You cannot have a Congress-Mukt Bharat. Because you cannot erase the soul of India. I think you always knew it, but yesterday you saw it at close proximity near your own home. India’s DNA carries the indelible legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and countless extraordinary men and women who sacrificed, struggled and dreamed of a free India. They did not fight for a country where one man would become bigger than its Constitution. They did not sacrifice their lives so that democracy could be reduced to the whims of a ruling party. They did not give up their lives so that some snake- oil salesman would done day destroy the Idea of India they curated: a democratic socialist republic, inclusive, secular and united. They fought for freedom. For dignity. For equality. For justice. For INDIA. Not for a few sugar daddies who ran the country like their VIP lounge in a glittering skyscraper. You can ridicule the Congress. You can abuse its leaders. You can spend billions calling Rahul Gandhi names. You can unleash political propaganda, rewrite history, misuse institutions and attempt to intimidate the opposition. But you cannot delete history. You cannot extinguish an idea. And you cannot defeat the collective conscience of 1.4 billion Indians. The Gen Z, with Neha Bora and Abhijeet Dipke leading them, are India’s future. Don’t barricade them. They will push back. As will the Congress. In short, Mr Modi, you wanted a Congress-Mukt Bharat. But India was never meant to be Opposition-Mukt. It was meant to be Fear-Mukt. Hate-Mukt. Injustice-Mukt. Corruption-Mukt. And that is the India we shall fight for. I am sure you will agree that it is a legitimate cause.  Before I forget, banning Jantar Mantar as a protest site was a petty move. Terrible. The optics are awful for you personally. Your advisers are misleading you, Prime Minister. I saw the protest rally in Delhi yesterday on my TV screens in Mumbai, and told myself: Yesterday Once More.
