This is Nicole Parker, eye witness to 9/11 and former FBI special agent who saw what went on behind closed doors and ultimately left her her career and pension to speak out. After witnessing 9/11 from Manhattan, @nicoleparkerusa left Wall Street to become an FBI agent, dedicating her life to protecting Americans. For more than 12 years, she investigated violent crime, human trafficking, and national security threats, earning some of the Bureau's highest honors. But over time, she saw a divide within the Buerau, which she called the “two FBIs.” "FBI 1" was filled with courageous agents risking their lives to protect Americans. "FBI 2" she believed, was willing to use its power to advance political agendas. Nicole described the atmosphere: “It became a Twilight Zone. You didn’t know who you could trust.” Nicole and a fellow agent made a promise never to participate in a politically motivated investigation. The next day, that friend was killed in the line of duty. Nicole never forgot their promise. Inside the FBI, she couldn’t speak freely. But speaking publicly meant walking away from the career she loved and the pension she had earned. They tried to weaponize the pension to silence her. Her response? “You can’t control me with a pension.” She walked away.
