We are literally doomed
American High School English Teacher reads real responses from her student’s assignment after reading The Great Gatsby
We have a serious education issue in America and if we don’t address it, we have a horrible future ahead of us
These kind of responses are to be expected because 12th grade reading results in 2024 in America showed that reading levels right now the lowest they’ve ever been since the assessment began in 1992
The Great Pumpkin knows the gate.
The Great Pumpkin is the gate.
The Great Pumpkin is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in The Great Pumpkin

Rumors of a “ghost ship” haunting the Nikkei Nebula are wholly unfounded according to the Interstellar Transit Bureau Notices to Astronauts circa 2775.
What is known is that on 31 October 2568 the super-hauler Taranto lost all motive power and drifted deep into the nebula which was, and still is, a known Class 7 navigational hazard.
Reports of a rescue vessel extracting the crew before the vessel was totally lost to the nebula are widely established by the Krupps-Harakawa Corporation. Rumors the boarding team found only slaughtered crew and a madly laughing commanding officer who had locked down the bridge stack, are little more than web rumors for clicks.
Still, each year, ghost researchers, salvage vessels, and treasure hunters try the dangerous reaches of the navigational hazard trying to find the lost ship. Rumors of 3 trillion in exotics still on board, compete with dark tales the crew discovered an alien bio-weapon on one of the uncharted Rech Worlds the vessel passed through earlier on its last ill-fated voyage.
Krupps-Harakawa, a leader in bio-weaponization technology vehemently denies these untruths.
Last year the company did 56 trillion in business, given their success providing top secret armaments for the ongoing war with the Zukrati past the Spinward frontier.
There is no “ghost ship” and vessels claiming to have boarded the Taranto have not been verified and there is no causal link to the high amount of disappearances and lost ships in this sector.
Still, listening posts do report deep sensor contacts within the vast and haunting nebula that match the size and class of the lost vessel. But as soon as these contacts are detected… they disappear like ghosts in the night.
