Oh, you don't fancy being vaporised by a 100-million-degree nuclear fireball? So does Israel not have a right to defend itself? You virulent antisemite.

ABDUL EL-SAYED: ā€œYou'd think their campaign might want to mention gas or groceries. But instead, they just want to point to me and be like, ā€˜He's Muslim.ā€™ā€ ā€œY'all, let me just tell you: I am Muslim. And I'm an American who believes in the Constitution. That shouldn't matter, because it doesn't matter how you pray, or if you pray at all.ā€ He then addresses Trump's repeated attempts to say his name: ABDUL EL-SAYED: ā€œDonald Trump can't seem to figure out what my name is. Abdul. Now he's taking to calling me Muhammad.ā€ ā€œThe funny thing about it is Abdul means servant, Muhammad means the praised one. I'm like, all right, bro, you want to take me from servant to the praised one? I'm okay with it.ā€ But his best punchline comes after Trump reportedly calls him ā€œAbdul Ramadan.ā€ ABDUL EL-SAYED: ā€œGroceries under his leadership have gotten so expensive, I wouldn't be surprised if he's like, ā€˜Listen, we can just do Ramadan for all.ā€™ā€ ā€œGroceries got too expensive? Listen, just fast all day. I'm trying to bring your groceries down. Abdul Ramadan.ā€

anthropic is about to watermark the text claude writes for you, worldwide, starting tuesday. the detector goes to regulators, journalists and big enterprises. everyone except the person who paid for the text. so your cold email, your linkedin post, the resume you rewrote three times can get flagged as claude by some hr tool or editor, and you can't even run the check yourself to see what they'll see. openai only does this in the eu. anthropic rolled it out everywhere. you pay them monthly and they build a snitch layer on top of your work.
Claude gonna start snitching on Tuesday. Anthropic just emailed customers. Starting Nov 3, text carries an invisible watermark. You can't see it. It survives copy and paste, and it can survive some editing. Only regulators, journalists, fact-checkers and researchers can check for it right now. It doesn't say who you are. It says Claude touched the words. Even a quick proofread counts. If your brand voice runs on Claude, write like someone might check. Because now someone can.

not gonna be all "ur a bad person if you like terrifier" but it's a little funny how personally offended people get if you make the assertion that the movie where the most notable part is a naked woman getting cut in half vagina-first might be a little misogynistic and gratuitous

Machines are tools, not persons. Today, some propose granting these systems rights, or even legal personhood. Such an approach risks obscuring human responsibility and leaving those who suffer harm to confront a faceless entity.

This really was your average class at an okay college a mere 20 years ago.
Mortifying that this is now what counts as a rigorous undergrad liberal arts class at an Ivy League school

A Republican women's group is behind a fake Texas transgender student union that sent text messages and brochures to as many as three million voters this month. The Republican Women’s Caucus Fund and someone named John Braun were identified as those responsible for the scheme that riled up voters just as early voting began, according to legal filings made public late Thursday. The identities were ordered to be revealed by a Travis County judge. bit.ly/48q1oVa

We at American Dad! have so much gratitude and love for Patrick Stewart. He said how happy he was to do American Dad! because he was so rarely asked to do comedy, which is insane, as his ability to get the laugh was uncanny. Thank you, Sir, for sharing your joyful spirit, inspiring voice, and willingness to be ridiculous. You turned Avery Bullock, Deputy Director of the CIA, into someone the world loved and couldn't get enough of. We will miss you.
