anthropic is about to watermark the text claude writes for you, worldwide, starting tuesday. the detector goes to regulators, journalists and big enterprises. everyone except the person who paid for the text.
so your cold email, your linkedin post, the resume you rewrote three times can get flagged as claude by some hr tool or editor, and you can't even run the check yourself to see what they'll see.
openai only does this in the eu. anthropic rolled it out everywhere.
you pay them monthly and they build a snitch layer on top of your work.
Claude gonna start snitching on Tuesday.
Anthropic just emailed customers. Starting Nov 3, text carries an invisible watermark.
You can't see it. It survives copy and paste, and it can survive some editing.
Only regulators, journalists, fact-checkers and researchers can check for it right now.
It doesn't say who you are. It says Claude touched the words. Even a quick proofread counts.
If your brand voice runs on Claude, write like someone might check. Because now someone can.
This is one of my kids. Please keep an eye out—my hope is she’s safe, just doing what teens sometimes do. But the world is scary, and we’ve had enough loss the last few years.
Me, a teacher who loves children, every time our animatronic scares a child enough for them to scream in terror:
I’d be laminating or framing that baby SO fast. Our little guy tells me he loves me unprompted now, and it’s like I won the Nobel Peace Prize.

not gonna be all "ur a bad person if you like terrifier" but it's a little funny how personally offended people get if you make the assertion that the movie where the most notable part is a naked woman getting cut in half vagina-first might be a little misogynistic and gratuitous

Girl, this is a skills issue on your part. I’m at 96 books, 12 of which are nonfiction, and I annotate/record my thoughts for each one.
And frankly, people reading for fun is way better than reading nothing. WE ARE IN A LITERAL LITERACY CRISIS.

ethan klein fans say “he was the reason i believed that men could be good” and then every clip of him is a guy that’s been moving like a family annihilator for the last half decade
Genuinely, one of the worst out there, too. Anti vax, too. Also any woman who remotely challenges him on his show? Watch how he responds. Dude has always been a lowkey conservative. He just happens to make weed and atheism a large part of his personality.

Machines are tools, not persons. Today, some propose granting these systems rights, or even legal personhood. Such an approach risks obscuring human responsibility and leaving those who suffer harm to confront a faceless entity.

Remember, Halloween isn’t until tomorrow. If you go out tonight and see a vampire or skeleton, you shoot them with a gun.
