LST loops part 2: read the 30-day borrow rate, not today's
The 35% ethereum:0x7f39c581f595b53c5cb19bd0b3f8da6c935e2ca0 / ethereum:0xc02aaa39b223fe8d0a0e5c4f27ead9083c756cc2 loop on @lista_dao: its borrow went 0.2% → 5.5% in 30 days
At 19×, that's +43% to -61% APR

An LST loop takes one click to open. Check the way out first.
Closing sells your debt back in one swap: $10k at 11× sells $100k of ethereum:0x7f39c581f595b53c5cb19bd0b3f8da6c935e2ca0.
On Ethereum: 100% back
On Monad: 77%. The $23k gone is more than your $10k
Loop where the staking is native and/or liquidity is deep.

Stablecoin loops: both on @llamalend, same debt, very different outcome.
svZCHF/crvUSD: −$32, and +$4.5, but the dollar rallying vs the franc cost $36.
sDOLA/crvUSD: +$15, $0 price move. All yield.
ethereum:0xb58e61c3098d85632df34eecfb899a1ed80921cb isn't a dollar (duh!). FX moves can eat your APR.
Mind the basis!
If you do no mind to hold the exposure for some sustained time, the loops out-earn any plain deposit strategy drastically
where to farm $ETH today, and what $10,000 earns a month ↓
i checked five big $ETH pools on DefiLlama, and right now $10,000 earns from about $33 down to $11 a month in them:
- 4.0% in @0xfluid's Lite ETH vault, about $33, from staking rewards in a loop that borrows $ETH against staked $ETH, so it earns less when $ETH borrow rates rise, and it charges 0.05% when you withdraw
- 3.5% in @ether_fi Liquid ETH, about $29, a strategy vault where a withdrawal takes about 3 days and pays out in $weETH
- 2.3% in ether.fi's $weETH, about $19, which is staked and restaked $ETH
- 2.2% in @LidoFinance's $stETH, about $18, from staking, with withdrawals taking about a day right now
- 1.3% lending $WETH in @aave's main Ethereum market, about $11, paid by borrowers, and with about 80% of the pool lent out there's still enough left to withdraw right away
so to earn more than plain staking you either take a loop that depends on $ETH borrow rates or wait 3 days to withdraw
This is why social trading is broken...
Just copy yield farmers - they can't rug you!

True, but it's worth noting a few conservative measures we've taken in this regard:
1. We widened the safety buffer between LTV and LT (90/95) precisely to prevent spot volatility from triggering liquidations.
2. There are also heuristic bands in place to guard against malicious actions on the $USDY spot price.
3. The market size (currently capped at 250,000 USDC) makes manipulation unprofitable on an asset with over $7 million in 2% liquidity depth.
That said, we also recommend not using aggressive leverage until @kamino onboards the $USDY RR Feed on their Scope Feed.

@flyingtulip_: the lender that holds no cash.
Same one-account model as @aave. But the pool is empty: every deposit, and every dollar behind ethereum:0xf7d85ec4e7710f71992752eac2111312e73e9c9c, is out working. Some of it inside Flying Tulip's own lending book.
