Ok, guys we need your help to make ourselves heard. @Sketchfab @kitbash3d @ArtStationHQ It's been now 12 days. 12 days that we have sent sketchfab a DMCA request regarding our proprietary 3D models, regarding a repeat offender banned twice under Epic management. Ever since Sketchfab has joined the kitbash family, there is simply no more support, no more hope. It seems it has become some sort of lawless space where anybody can post somebody else's IP with little consideration for consequence. They say they're busy, they'll get back when they reach our ticket - but how come we've been waiting for that long while every request under Epic never took more than 3 days? Do we expect safe harbor to apply when the illegal material has been known to be around for nearly 2 weeks? Please RT, please like, please support. It feels like they will start to act responsibly only under duress. We were thinking of bringing our business to them, but it seems there's nothing out there to protect us from predatory practices anymore. I kid you not, we had better results when negotiating with Russian individuals regarding the same topic. A bit of a shame, especially when taunting us with future AI moderation. Thank you all. Thank you for our 3d artists. #3dmodels #3DAssets #3dartist

Marble Columns and Changing Timelines: Rome and Greece in Alternate History What if Alexander the Great had lived to march West? What if the Roman Empire never fell, but evolved with modern steam power or nuclear energy? Ancient Rome and Classical Greece remain the ultimate playground for alternate history, offering a foundation of sprawling empires, philosophical revolutions, and pivotal battlefields. Join our panel of authors, historians, and speculative fiction creators as we explore The Appeal of Rome and Greece in Alternative History. We’ll break down why classical antiquity continues to captivate modern imaginations, how writers balance historical accuracy with divergent timelines, and what these reimagined pasts tell us about our own world today. This was a fun interview, so check out this episode. youtu.be/8iAXXNjHgKc

Timelapse of the ISS Optimal Propellent Maneuver (OPM)! We use this to reorient station's attitude in preparation for docking events. This one occurred over some magnificent Mediterranean city lights!

Fantastic news for @jkenton2000!! A Kiss for Damocles is one of the best books I’ve read in a while and the Prometheus Award is well-deserved.

“Fellow Citizens, I am not wanting in respect for the fathers of this republic. The signers of the Declaration of Independence were brave men. They were great men too — great enough to give fame to a great age. It does not often happen to a nation to raise, at one time, such a number of truly great men. The point from which I am compelled to view them is not, certainly, the most favorable; and yet I cannot contemplate their great deeds with less than admiration. They were statesmen, patriots and heroes, and for the good they did, and the principles they contended for, I will unite with you to honor their memory. “They loved their country better than their own private interests; and, though this is not the highest form of human excellence, all will concede that it is a rare virtue, and that when it is exhibited, it ought to command respect. He who will, intelligently, lay down his life for his country, is a man whom it is not in human nature to despise. Your fathers staked their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, on the cause of their country. In their admiration of liberty, they lost sight of all other interests. “They were peace men; but they preferred revolution to peaceful submission to bondage. They were quiet men; but they did not shrink from agitating against oppression. They showed forbearance; but that they knew its limits. They believed in order; but not in the order of tyranny. With them, nothing was “settled” that was not right. With them, justice, liberty and humanity were “final;” not slavery and oppression. You may well cherish the memory of such men. They were great in their day and generation. Their solid manhood stands out the more as we contrast it with these degenerate times. “How circumspect, exact and proportionate were all their movements! How unlike the politicians of an hour! Their statesmanship looked beyond the passing moment, and stretched away in strength into the distant future. They seized upon eternal principles, and set a glorious example in their defense. Mark them! “Fully appreciating the hardship to be encountered, firmly believing in the right of their cause, honorably inviting the scrutiny of an on-looking world, reverently appealing to heaven to attest their sincerity, soundly comprehending the solemn responsibility they were about to assume, wisely measuring the terrible odds against them, your fathers, the fathers of this republic, did, most deliberately, under the inspiration of a glorious patriotism, and with a sublime faith in the great principles of justice and freedom, lay deep the corner-stone of the national superstructure, which has risen and still rises in grandeur around you. “Of this fundamental work, this day is the anniversary. Our eyes are met with demonstrations of joyous enthusiasm. Banners and pennants wave exultingly on the breeze. The din of business, too, is hushed. Even Mammon seems to have quitted his grasp on this day. The ear-piercing fife and the stirring drum unite their accents with the ascending peal of a thousand church bells. Prayers are made, hymns are sung, and sermons are preached in honor of this day; while the quick martial tramp of a great and multitudinous nation, echoed back by all the hills, valleys and mountains of a vast continent, bespeak the occasion one of thrilling and universal interest — a nation’s jubilee.” - Frederick Douglass

𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀! Autarch's new anthology 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘯 𝘌𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦 brings together an extraordinary roster of fantasy authors to explore the Auran Empire's dangers, dungeons, and doomed champions. Enter a world where empires stand on the brink of war, and terrible monsters tear at the fragile borderlands of men; where decaying cities teem with chaos and corruption, weeping innocents are sacrificed to chthonic cults and nobles live in decadent pleasure while the realm burns; where heroes, wizards, and rogues risk everything in pursuit of glory, fortune, and power. backerkit.com/call_to_action…

Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.

Words of wisdom, right here: “Because they knew something I didn’t: That wisdom isn’t persuasive to people who haven’t earned it yet, and that trying to make it persuasive is a fool’s errand. I was a fool. Now I’d give anything for their wisdom and it’s too late.”

To say I’m VERY excited about this opportunity is a bit of an understatement!
Have you heard about the upcoming anthology set in the Auran Empire? @archon & @AlphaMercX have teamed up (with a few others like John C. Wright & Jonathon Oldenburg) to produce one hell of a work. Check it out—you know where to look. Oh and follow the man's advice—we will write for hire. @ZaneVoss @bkgibsonwrites @SamRobbWrites @AKCasasent

It should be mandatory that all footage of aircraft launched from a carrier have Danger Zone included.
Replying to @Osinttechnical
Same footage but I put Danger Zone over it
