Guys, the AI thing is real. It just is. I keep waiting for any speck of evidence that it may not be, partly out of inherent skepticism, and it's just not materializing.
The proof came from a general-purpose reasoning model, not a system built specifically to solve math problems or this problem in particular, and represents an important milestone for the math and AI communities.

Perhaps the biggest issue in data center opposition is that the average person thinks AI is just for social media slop.
They don’t realize a new industrial revolution just got kicked off.
I think people have the wrong idea about these new AI data centers.
Building giga compute to do crazy high throughput math problems that greatly expand humanity’s intelligence and will make us much more capable of achieving our dreams is so vastly more compelling than building traditional cloud data centers that serve brainrot TikTok videos, Instagram posts. and porn.
