I'm going to start this thread named "I once did". It'll be me tweeting about things I've once done before any time I remember them.

Why is it important to let Nigerians know that their major issue is not corruption, but productivity? Thank you very much for asking. If they assume that the number one reason Nigeria is poor, and people suffer indignities is because someone somewhere is “eating their money”, it would make it extremely easy for any sweet talking retard to talk them out of decent economic trajectory into martial elite warfare. This is precisely what happened in 2015, and what brought APC to power. While Buhari was an economic hitman in his own right, the period of 2015-2023 would never have been easy for Nigerians. We were promised that economic downturn 3,000 years ago (a downturn we finally postponed to 2023-2025), and as it is we just suffered for nothing. Now, if people understood that market liberalization paired with foreign investment was the stronger antidote to whatever resentment they felt against the theiving ruling class, it would have been easier for them to ignore Buhari and his anti-corruption crusade. That’s why it’s important for people to know what really ails the Nigerian state. We aren’t poor because someone in Abuja is stealing all our money (even though someone indeed is doing that — several someones at least). Even if they weren’t, we would be poor all the same! You may not believe it, but a 40F and a 25F are the same grades!

If you want to win the elections, put your hard work where your mouth is. Mobilize people, educate them about elections, how to protect the ballot, and make sure that they are eligible to vote by registering. Keep them engaged via party structure. No be by cho cho cho agenda for Twitter.
53
Playing emergency opposition every four years? No be lie. The ballot is yours.
35
Love does not win elections and neither does twitter agenda. Make sure to do the groundwork to make your electorate eligible to vote, and strong party structure with boots on ground to protect said votes. Agenda will not win enough people to your side. The agenda target audience possibly do not have voters card. Lessons, ẹkun, ati ipayin Keke go surplus for January.

No worry. BBL and other future beauty standards peer pressure might get her if you don't bring her up properly, and that seems to be like something you're trying to avoid doing. I really don't understand how a mother will say this about her child, and possibly will do things that will destroy the child's self confidence. Na wa ọ.
I hope my female child does not have wide hips and bumbum sha. If I can control the outcome of the dna traits I’ll transfer

They were slave raiders and traders themselves.
Edos were not slaves or victims of slavery like ur ancestors! 😁

I think moechievous said something similar a few year ago as well and she was laughed at as well.
Programming or coding will be automated in the near future so we are heading to codeless future. Coders are at the bottom of the food chain, we need to push as many folks up the chain rather than selling our "seeds" to countries that are playing higher up the chain.

Hi everyone! My mum is opening a restaurant, and we’re researching what people actually eat or order while at work, especially on apps like Chowdeck. What type of meal do you usually order for lunch?

Wetin this one dey talk? Walahi, there's no serious opposition in this election yet.
To the Yorubas defending everything, chew on this: I have never seen someone bear the name "BOLA" as a standalone name. I have seen "Abimbola", "Ajibola" etc. And they in-turn funkinize it to 'BOLA'. So explain how a man would wake up, tell you his name is BOLA and you didn't question his ancestry?! Instead, you gave him a state to control, then rigged him into the Federal House. Tribalism has dealt a huge blow on the Yoruba race.
34
Enough has been said in the quotes to refute your claims filled with half-truths. The present day Yoruba identity, even though adopting a foreign name, can all trace their ancestral lineage back to oduduwa, and their spiritual homeland back to Ile-Ife. Enough said already. I'd just like to call you an idiot.
Do you know how crazy it is that some of the tribal identities we are so fixated on were engineered by Oyinbo? Let’s use the “Yoruba peoples” tribal identity as an instance. The Yoruba tribal peoplehood was artificially engineered for easier colonial administration. We were not a monolithic group. The Ẹkiti, Òndó, Ìjẹ̀bú, Ẹgba, Ìjẹ̀ṣà, Ìgbómìnà and others were not always “Yorubas.” If you time-travelled to 1825 and insisted that an Ẹgba person was Yoruba, they might not only be confused — it is likely that they could be offended. Treating Yoruba as an ancient, primordial tribe is anachronistic and historically indefensible. It is well documented that the word “Yoruba” was an exonym — a tag given by outsiders. Ahmad Baba of Timbuktu used “Yariba” around 1613–1615 for the Oyo. Northern traders (Hausa and others) applied it specifically to the Oyo peoples. In fact, there is no evidence of self-use of the word Yoruba by the precolonial Oyo peoples themselves as a broad ethnic label, and none whatsoever among the non-Oyo groups. During the Kiriji Wars (1877–1893), the Ẹkiti-Parapọ alliance (Ẹkiti, Ìjẹ̀ṣà and allies including elements of Ìjẹ̀bú, Ẹgba, Ìgbómìnà and others) fought the Ibadan military state (heir to Oyo imperial power) for autonomy. It was not Yoruba fighting Yoruba — they were independent nations fighting to protect their sovereignty. So how did everyone become Yoruba? The colonialists homogenized all of us by mechanically standardizing the Ọ̀yọ́-Ìbàdàn speech into a uniform, artificial written language called Yorùbá Àjùmọ̀lò. Samuel Ajayi Crowther’s 1843 Vocabulary of the Yoruba Language (and subsequent Bible work) was based on the Oyo dialect. To save money on printing Bibles and schoolbooks, European recategorized distinct languages as “local dialects.” Then, through Lord Lugard’s Native Authority system after the 1914 Amalgamation (formalized in the Native Authority Ordinance of 1916 and later revisions), the British state turned this missionary work into a tool of governance. Our ancestors became stuck in rigid “tribal” census categories, they appointed standardized rulers to collect taxes, and turned sovereign citizens of independent city-states and republics into predictable, manageable colonial subjects. Yes, this identity is real today. But its reality is relatively modern, administrative, and politically charged, not primordial. Many of us mistakenly wear our tribal identity as though it were a sacrosanct, eternal or primordial delineation: it is not. Like the Yoruba tribal categorization, many others are just neat little folders they fostered to organize us. If it was a bond formed for your enemy’s convenience, then it is malleable enough to be reformed for strategic survival, defense, and collective prosperity.

Until the citizens of Nigeria understand their true identity, they will not find a way forward with governance, and economic growth. Our political history is way too important to not be treated and taught properly.

While Winston Churchill was under-secretary of state for the colonies, he shuddered and had words about Frederick John Dealtry Lugard’s antics in the administration of Nigeria. Many years later as the British prime minister: While he did great during the war, his administration was also marred by his policy that caused the Bengal famine crises. One of the worst humanitarian disasters on earth. He had become some, or even worse than what he had previously criticized.

Which is heavier, one kg of steel or one kg of feathers?
A man that tall with that weight is basically a stick

Water transfers heat better especially with water wetter added to it. The problem with using plain water is that causes corrosion inside your engine and radiator. Coolant is better because it has corrosion inhibitors and lubricating properties for your water pump. That’s why you should use the manufacturer’s specified coolant instead of plain water.
If na water still dey your radiator, you no like your engine at all. Better go buy coolant and replace it. This heat ain't no joke!
