Did you know that Costco quietly switched nearly its entire meat supply to halal and that every Air-Chill slaughter facility in Canada is now halal! I spoke with Ernest Campbell, Costco AGMM & meat manager, and he just passed the buck and took zero responsibility.
The meat plants across Canada are now all halal!! Costco can use its buying power to demand a return to non-halal standards.
Muslims, who make up 5% of the population, are forcing the majority of the population to eat meat that is barbarically slaughtered, sacrificed to a false god and of which a portion of the sales is reported to fund terrorism.
Halal certification demands exclusive Muslim oversight, extracts fees from unaware non-Muslim consumers, and has been openly described by Islamic leaders as a means "to conquer the world through the Halal movement."
We are the majority and our buying power will be used to set this matter straight. We need to send Costco, and every other food supplier and grocery chain, a loud and clear message that we will not allow muslims to dominate the food industry and implant Sharia law, a foreign political/military system.

Over the past two decades, my household has directed tens of thousands of dollars in business to your warehouses. Due to this policy, my family is entirely suspending our purchase of all Costco meat products.
My decision to boycott your meat department rests on two core principles:
1. Animal Welfare Concerns: A primary priority for many consumers in modern Western nations is the strict adherence to the most humane slaughter methods available, prioritizing the minimization of animal distress and suffering. The standard requirements associated with traditional halal slaughter raise serious ethical concerns regarding the consciousness and suffering of the animal during the process.
2. Exclusivity of Religious Certification: As a secular consumer, I object to a major national retailer adopting a procurement model that subjects standard food products to specific religious rituals and certifications. By shifting inventory exclusively toward these standards, Costco is alienating a broad demographic of its consumer base—including Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, and secular individuals—who do not wish to financially support or consume products tied to religious mandates.
From a business perspective, eliminating options that align with standard Western humanitarian practices in favor of a singular religious framework alienates dedicated, long-term members.
We will be redirecting our family's grocery and meat expenditures to alternative retailers until Costco restores standard, non-certified options that prioritize modern humane processing methods. I urge the buying and operations teams to reconsider the impact this policy has on your broader membership base.

Yes, we the people are very stupid and always confused.
We want to address some confusion surrounding the investigation into the home invasion in the Bridle Path neighbourhood.
Investigators immediately recognized the potential connection between the home invasion and the individual who showed up at hospital with a gunshot wound.
But recognizing a potential suspect and having enough evidence to arrest them are two different things. Suspicion alone isn’t enough. Police need reasonable grounds, supported by evidence, to make an arrest.
We will continue to gather evidence and will go where the evidence takes us. We are grateful for the professionalism, tenacity and commitment of our investigators who continue this work.
Let’s keep the focus where it belongs: finding the outstanding suspects and holding those responsible for this violent home invasion accountable.

Last week the Langley, BC Costco said that ‘all’ their meat is now Halal. Not just chicken. I am trying to confirm this.

Canada is NOT a Muslim country and 5% of the population cannot be permitted to dictate to the majority what we eat.

I believe truth, trust, and transparency must be fundamental to how the WRDSB is governed. A publicly funded board ought to serve the public –the people.
For years, I have done the work — communicating with teachers, principals, senior staff, attending meetings, researching and impacting policy and decisions, filing Freedom of Information requests, delegating before trustees, serving on parent committees, organizing community events, meeting with elected officials, and speaking with and connecting with thousands of parents, educators, staff, and citizens.
That experience has shown me where change is needed.
Good governance requires more than celebrating accomplishments. Trustees must be willing to ask difficult questions, examine results, scrutinize decisions, and ensure that parents, educators and the public have a meaningful voice in the process.
Parents should not have to agree with the Board in order to have their perspectives heard and acknowledged.
Safeguarding our children from age-inappropriate content ought not be negotiable.
Educators should be supported to focus on effective teaching.
Students should be challenged to develop knowledge, skills, confidence, curiosity, and the ability to think critically for themselves, with the resilience to get back up when they fall short.
I cannot, in good conscience, nor expect other families to, continue placing our children, our trust, and our public dollars into a system without doing everything I can to help ensure that system is worthy of all three.
The challenges placed before me—and the solutions I have helped pursue—have given me a sense of responsibility to use that experience to help restore a public education system that earns the trust of the people it serves.
Because public education should be a system families choose with confidence, educators are honoured to serve in, and students are better for having experienced.
