With these statements Hon @DaudiKabanda you better leave RT Hon @HonTwallafadil GS of PLU and Teso subregion coordinator Hon @OgwangOgwang to be the one to come to Teso Subregion for Gen Mk @mkainerugaba Endorsements Rally because people of Teso are very annoyed with Kabanda who sold their daughter Among AAA after stealing with her he turned for her and sold her out like Judas Iscariot who sold Jesus for a pence. Now Kabanda has been bashing Gen Elwelu and taking advantage of his current situation while Kabanda is forgetting that he has not Gone to Endorse Gen Mk in Teso.

On energy costs, the Minister noted that electricity tariffs for high-energy industrial users have been reduced to approximately 5.7 US cents per kilowatt-hour, alongside investments aimed at improving electricity transmission and reliability. Other interventions include promoting contract farming and industrial clusters, upgrading technology and machinery, improving road, railway, water and ICT infrastructure, supporting local manufacturers through the Buy Uganda, Build Uganda (BUBU) policy and streamlining business regulations through digital platforms such as the Electronic Single Window. He further emphasised the importance of regional and continental trade frameworks, particularly the EAC, COMESA and AfCFTA, which provide Ugandan manufacturers with access to wider markets, including the African continental market of approximately 1.4 billion people and a combined GDP exceeding US$3 trillion.

A powerful reminder of what can be achieved when our nations move forward as one. The East African Crude Oil Pipeline @EACOP_ and our growing economic integration are not just infrastructure projects, they are the foundation for shared prosperity, jobs, and sustainable growth for both Uganda and Tanzania. Under the strategic and visionary leadership of President @KagutaMuseveni and Her Excellency President Samia @SuluhuSamia Hassan, our regional bond continues to grow stronger. Together, we are building a more connected, resilient, and self-reliant East Africa! @hopeainomugisha @kaitesishi @kirunda_faruk @millybabalanda
On the sidelines of the Cultural Leaders Conference, I received the Vice President of Tanzania, His Excellency, Deogratius John Ndejembi, who delivered a special message from Her Excellency, President Samia Suluhu Hassan. We discussed the economic integration of our two countries and infrastructure development, particularly the oil pipeline. As I have always emphasised, our prosperity depends on working together, expanding trade and developing infrastructure that connects our economies.

While addressing the traditional and cultural leaders, I emphasised that our indigenous societies had strong foundations in agriculture, livestock, crafts, medicine and other specialised occupations (Emyooga). However, tribal chauvinism and lack of integration weakened us. That is why the NRM emphasises patriotism and Pan Africanism. You need Uganda and Africa for your prosperity. Our cultural leaders have an important role in preserving our languages, culture and indigenous knowledge, while leaving politics and administration to elected leaders. We must reject the colonial mentality that makes Africans despise their own heritage. I am looking forward to continued discussions tomorrow.

Hon. Tanna emphasised that industrialisation remains central to Uganda's ambition of achieving a US$500 billion economy under the Ten-Fold Growth Strategy, noting that the Government is prioritising domestic manufacturing, value addition, investment promotion and export growth. He highlighted that Uganda's industrial sector contributed approximately 24.9% to GDP in 2025, registering annual growth of 6.4%, with the number of formal manufacturing industries increasing from just 81 in 1986 to more than 12,000 today. The sector currently employs over 1.8 million Ugandans, consumes more than 70% of the country's electricity generation and contributes approximately 33% of the total tax revenue collected by the Uganda Revenue Authority.
He noted that the conference, organised by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives in partnership with UDC and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), will bring together policymakers, investors, industry leaders, researchers and development partners to discuss practical strategies for accelerating Uganda's industrial transformation.

The voters in America are sending a very clear signal to global politics and it seems clear that the war in Gaza and the one in Iran have changed the US and how it votes. Iran knew what it was doing when it closed the Strait of Hormuz. They knew what driving up fuel cost would do. Now everyone knows why no sensible president was attacking Iran. They knew Iran would cost them careers. Backing Benjamin Netanyahu and his blood thirst publicly and is going to be very hard going forward in American politics.

My fellow PLU members and leaders, let us distinguish between party politics and matters of national security. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is our beloved PLU Chairman and Uganda’s CDF. When he speaks on national security, let us exercise restraint and respect the responsibility that comes with his office. When he speaks on PLU matters, let us unite, support and defend our movement. Supporting our Chairman does not mean attacking leaders who express different views. Hon. @EchoduOfficial , like every elected leader, has a responsibility to represent the interests of his people, including on issues affecting his region. We may disagree, but let us never allow differences to divide us. We can support Gen. @mkainerugaba and his 2031 presidential ambition while respecting other leaders. Let us promote unity, discipline and mutual respect. Defend our movement without turning national security matters into partisan battles.

According to the Uganda Land Commission, Government land accounts for approximately 23% of Uganda’s total land area, yet only 26.16% is formally titled. A comprehensive digital inventory is therefore critical to identifying, documenting and securing public land against encroachment, fraud & ownership disputes. #OpenGovUg
