During the Congress years…
❌Demonetisation wasn't sprung on the country overnight.
❌An entire state wasn't split in two and downgraded to Union Territory status.
❌India wasn't the Internet shutdown capital of the world.
❌The Central Government didn't resort to fiscal terrorism against states.
❌146 MPs weren't suspended from Parliament en masse, without justification.
❌India's strategic relationships with Russia and Iran weren't put at risk at America's bidding.
In short, the country was governed, not subjected to a new hare-brained experiment every other day. 😏

As the sentiment is rapidly shifting against BJP, we must remain extremely vigilant. When power is at stake, Modi & Shah may resort to Hindu-Muslim polarisation and communal violence
They could set the country on fire just to win election. India must not fall into their trap

Three years ago, PM Modi inaugurated the 3,200-crore Surat Diamond Bourse, calling it “the best diamond in the world” and an example of “Modi’s guarantee” for Surat.
Today, the “world’s biggest office space in a single project” is a largely empty shell.

James McAvoy on the demise of Sir Patrick Stewart.
“Sir Patrick Stewart will always be the definitive Professor X to generations of fans, but to me, he is so much more than that. He is a legend, a mentor, and an extraordinary actor whose presence elevated everyone around him. Stepping into a role he made iconic was never about replacing him; it was about honoring the legacy he built. I will forever be grateful for the path he paved, both on screen and beyond it. There will never be another Patrick Stewart.”

Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen knew each other for nearly 50 years before becoming close friends on the set of X-Men.
Around that time, Sir Patrick passed on the role of Gandalf, which his good friend would go on to make his own. In a later interview he stated “My dear friend Ian McKellen became a living legend with his performance as Gandalf in The Lord Of The Rings.”
The two will appear together one final time in Avengers: Doomsday. ❤️

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.
