The authors emphasize that both abemaciclib and ribociclib demonstrate significant reductions in recurrence risk with a favorable quality-of-life profile, and caution that dismissing these agents outright would deny meaningful benefit to appropriate patients.
They advocate for refining patient selection through predictive biomarkers to improve cost-effectiveness, and call for a rigorous, unbiased reassessment of the metrics and endpoints used to evaluate (neo)adjuvant therapies in this disease setting.
